Well, I tried and nLite told me IE7 integrated ok on top on SP3, but when booting into windows, IE is f***ed up, doesn't exist...

Oh well, will just have to do with SP2 + a gaxillion updates until Sp3 is final ;)

Look here,

All of them have stuff in them that I don't want/need ...

But thanks for trying.

I just want to integrate IE7 in to and SP3 iso. Nothing more, nothing less.

omg.

Why bother with release candidates, when within a month there will be a new packaged out. i dont get it.

Ryans pack is like a sp3 with all the newest updates in it. It will replace the old installation files on the source you use and only is 50mb!. The same goes for wmp and ie-7 true direct addon that replaces the old files on the source..

Like that you will get all newest updates for xp on the source with ie7, just remember to have sp2 slipstreamed first before your add em. Im out. Take it or leave it i dont care.

Well, it is simply a matter of timing and curiosity:)

Building a new machine within the next week (hopefully), so wanted to create a new iso for installation.

And after reading about SP3, it is my perception that it, besides post-SP2 udpates, also contains some other kernel updates and system optimizations?

These I would not get by simply using post-SP2 updates, individually or in update packs.

I don't use WMP so don't want to install it.

As far as I could see, those IE7 addons packs had stuff in them besides just IE7, right? And it didn't specifically say that they could install on top of SP3.

PS

Merry Xmas :) Eller glædelig jul ;)
