tain
Has any thought been given to renaming the Hotstream subforum to something more descriptive? To someone new to the forums the term "Hotstream" is basically meaningless, admittedly so is "nLite", but as that has its own full forum, nLite gets a descriptive line of text.Or perhaps the subtext for "Other Member Contributed Projects" could be changed to something like:"Windows Installation Helper Utility, XPCreate, Windows XP Power Packer, Win2000 SP5 (unofficial)"Any thoughts on this from the rest of the Hotstream community? He was very ill even while working on USP. Is his work being carried on?I wish him well.
Kelsenellenelvian
Yes his work is being carried on now. 5.2 is in the works but will take awhile as I have to figure everything out. I have succesfully added 2 hotfixes so I am making progress!
dirtwarrior
When I got some hotfixes for his project there were a lot of nonpublic ones I got.
Kurt_Aust
Has any decision been reached? Obviously I think at least the subtext should be changed.
tain
Hasn't been much feedback to base any changes on.This is all we have so far:"Win2000 SP5 (unofficial)" sounds good to me.What should the subtext be?
Kurt_Aust
What should the subtext be?Taking a look at what shows on the Forum main page, none of the subtext descriptions are very useful, though Hotstream is the worst. At least with XPCREATE and Windows XP PowerPacker, you know they relate to Windows XP in some way.I would suggest altering the main page display to the following:Other Member Contributed ProjectsApp install & account prefs, Updated XP CD, All XP editions in one install media, Win2000 SP5 (unofficial)Subforums: Windows Installation Helper Utility, XPCREATE, Windows XP PowerPacker, Hotstreamand the Other Member Contributed Projects page to:HotstreamWindows 2000 "Hotstream" Project: Unofficial Service Pack
