Hello,

I had a problem that was causing no user names to show on the welcome screen. I fixed it with UBCD and now all the users are showing on the welcome screen.

My user name is "puner" and although it shows on the welcome screen it is really not my user folder, because it doesnt contain all the personalized settings and my data.

I took a look at Documents and Settings and saw this;

The regular "Puner" folder has all my music, pictures, and videos. And thats the one I want to be my user account.

STUDENT-D2D4512 is my computers name and is on the workgroup MSHOME.

Is there a way to change my home folder to the I used before the problem?

but it deals with "system restore", which I have it turned off.

Definitely start by re-enabling System Restore and letting this be a lesson to never again disable it.

You may be able to delete the new account Windows made and you may be able to recover the old account.

Just change

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

Or copy the old profile to the new profile.
