Some errors I found in HFSLIP

Ok, the imagehlp.dll checksum error just reappeared, and no nLite has been used... But I think I found the problem.

The error seems to show if the SOURCE content is not fresh, and with this I mean a CD just copied into the folder (I DON'T mean an already slipstreamed source). No idea of why and how it happens...

If I use the same SOURCE content more than once, these checksum errors start to appear.

So, to avoid this, I'll have to re-copy from the installation CD. Shouldn't be a problem, but this will make the testing much more longer...

I tested it, retried again, started from nothing, re-copied the SP1A CD, re-copied the updates and added SP2, slipstreamed with antivirus off (the speed drastically increased), skipped nLite and directly made the ISO... The installation starts!

Configured the required options (username, etc) and started...

Just after I logged in, two error messages appear.

The first:

"rundll32.exe - Unable to find a component

Unable to run specified application. framedyn.dll hasn't been found. A new application installation might solve the problem."

And just after I clicked OK, the second one:

Error while loading srclient.dll

Unable to find specified module.

I went in "C:\Program Files\" to check IE7 and WMP11: same situation as before (so check the screenshots in the previous message), IE7 not working, IEXPLORE.EXE hidden/system file, wmplayer.exe too, but I manage to make WMP work in the same way.

So, it's not an nLite problem.

I assure that none of the hotfixes (the ones not present in Tomcat76's list) I downloaded are related to IE6 nor WMP9/10, I used only IE7 and WMP11 hotfixes.

PS I see that modifype is required for IE7, and I put only modifype.exe it in the HFTOOLS folder. Do I have to put the whole content from modpe81.zip?

Sorry again, now I have the impression to be quite insistent...

Solved... I removed IE7 and IE7 updates from the HF folder and integrated them later with nLite. All other errors seem to be vanished (the WMP problem, the two errors at startup...).

So the problem is around IE7 slipstreaming...

Possible culprits:

1) You are specifying DELCATS=1 in HFANSWER.INI

2) A problem in Windows Vista

3) The cumulative update for IE7 is borked (not a problem you can fix)
