Compaq Evo N160

Recommended Posts

I just got a Compaq Evo N160 for testing an RIS image.

It doesnt seem to have a PxE integrated into it since there is no Options for it in the BIOS.

So I Created a Boot Floppy Disk then copied it on a Bootable CD.

I reboot the Computer and when the disk runs, it shows that the network card is not supported by the boot cd adapter list. "For assistance, contact your system administrator" <---- Hate this haha

Is there another way to boot my laptop with PxE so I can push the image.

I have a basic RIS server (Not wds or anything)

I had one of these laptops too and there is NO PXE boot option for the onboard Intel 10/100 NIC. Instead I built a Unattended CD with the same options as my RIS Image and deployed it that way. That lasted til I purchased a new laptop and retired the poor old EVO.
