[HELP] Retriving password for INternet Connection

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am trying to setup a router for one of my friends, however the password for their connection is stored in the dial-up screen thing. It shows up as about 12 black dots.

They don't remember what the password is. so really this is the only way of getting at it.

Is there any software that will read th password behind the dots?

Use google and seach for a programme named "Dialupass" this will reveal it .

simple and easy :thumbup

This might be something and nothing but I thought i'd take a look at that program. I use avast antivirus and it pops up and says it contains W32.dialupass Might not be a virus but just be carefull either way.

An alternative that you could try is SIW, its very good and has some very very usefull tools built in and can be downloaded here for free :-

Check the apps here:

http://www.nirsoft.net/

They can run from within the .zip file, pspv should also be able to find the password in protected storage:

I don't think Asterisk logger works on newish dialogs, but it is still worth a try:
