johncowley Posted October 21, 2007 Share Posted October 21, 2007 I've Windows XP Home Edition with SP2 on a HP desktop machine which is just 3 years old.If I plug in a 64MB memory stick it works fine. I now find that larger USB memory devices such as 4GB memory stick or a 500GB external hard drive will not work. Windows recognises that a USB mass storage is plugged in but pops up a screen asking for a driver. No driver is available for these as the devices expect XP to recognise them.All other USB devices including iPOds etc work fine.Help!!!! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
