Select File | Identities | Manage Identities from the menu.

Highlight your identity.

Click Properties.

Make sure Require a password is checked.

Type the desired password under New Password and Confirm New Password.

Click OK.

Click OK again.

Finally, select Close.

This method will guard against the casual user, but a really determined person will likely be able to get around it.

heres what you do:

create a fake gmail/hotmail/yahoo account

send it an email that says some thing like

Ok I've had it. Hes read my email for the last time.

This is getting old. I've wired the 2000$ USD to your account. Take him out.

then login to the account and reply with:

I've received the payment. I can have it taken care of before sundown.

I need you to confirm the target. I've attached a picture of the assumed target.

Just reply yes or no.

>> Ok I've had it. Hes read my email for the last time.

>> This is getting old. I've wired the 2000$ USD to your account. Take him out.

then attach a huge gif/jpg that says GOTCHA! stop reading my emails <insert brothers name here> !

Or you could just password the identity/windows profile. But I like my way better.

I'd go with that... Might not make him stop, from fear of when the 'deed' will happen.... but it'd be funny!

Yup, there are two way as mentioned above.

1) Create your own identity and use a password. This will allow you to password protect your OE account.

2) Create a user profile. This is probably better since you can protect your OE account with a login password rather than an identity password, and with profile password, you can protect your documents in My Documents folder.

The .dbx files will still be accessible and they are not encrypted.

two solutions (assuming you have a seperate user account, which you should):

1: Encrypt them. Duh.

2: Use file permissions to deny access to them

3: If they're in that user's profile, then they won't be accessible anyway.
