Migrating from Windows 2003 server to Windows 2000 Server

I manage a Windows 2000 Server at work. Due to some hardware failure I had to change over to a server running Windows 2003 temporarily till the windows 2000 server could be repaired. After the repair was done. I had to migrate the files back to the Windows 2000 Server. The migration was completed successfully. The problem i am facing is that the files which were created in the windows 2003 server(which are now placed in the windows 2000 server) cannot be opened by the users. Is there a solution for this problem.

Regards

Vinayak

You may have to go in as admin and re-take ownership of the files. The file owner SID does not exist on the 2000 server. Take ownership then you should be able to grant rights to the appropriate users.

Any idea how to go about this
