Soulkiss Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Hi there.I am currently working in a Lab environment where we regularly have to wipe and re-install systems. We have been using Ghost for this up until now, but I am looking for another method, and WDS seems to be up for the job.I have a 2008 server running, and I can install a custom made 2003.wim file from the server onto a blank machine using PXEBOOT.I want to automate it completely however, but the Release Notes for the WAIK states that catalogue files can only be built for current Vista builds.Does anyone have a sample unattended.xml file for a 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition installation, or a link t somewhere I can find one, as well as instruction on where to put it to allow it to be read and used.I am using the Server 2008 version as I want to be able to deploy XP, 2003 Server, Vista and 2008 Server and it seemed the best solution, 2003 R2's WDS limitation of not being able to use the same drive to save your images to as you boot from is rather tedious.ThanksDavid
flayofish Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 (edited) Edit... whoops! Not sure if I'm supposed to talk about that yet... hang in there, MS working on later releases with increased support. Edited September 20, 2007 by flayofish
