vegettoxp Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Hey Guys, I was attending my A+ classes at my college and I have been hearing alot about the Recovery and Bootable CD/DVD. I have heard that these can be custom made and you can even have Multi-OS and have all the utilties you need on the CD/DVD. I have also heard that you can have something called a "Live OS'. What is this anyway? My question is if I want to make my own Custom Windows Recovery and Bootable CD/DVD, Where do I start. I have never done this before and I really want to try this out.So if some can point me to the right direction, it would really help me out in my A+ Class. So if anyone has any info, please let me know.P.S. Fusion

mark Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 A 'live OS' is an OS on a CD-DVD that you can put into your computer with the HD disconnected and still run the computer. It loads what's needed onto RAM and nothing is ever written to your HD.DL
prathapml Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Thats true. And if you want to see a full-scale implementation of a free LiveCD that actually works, try out Knoppix.
