Zxian
DDR2 vs DDR3 - The Battle of Latency vs BandwidthThe fact of the matter is that DDR3 does not out perform DDR2 at the speeds available today. DDR3 support is really the only main advantage that the P35 chipset brings over the 965 chipset, and it's not that much of an advantage anyways, considering the supported DDR3 speeds. Everything else gained with P35 motherboards is just stamp collecting.
Pyr0
the P35 chipset is better suited for quad cores (especially if thinking about overclocking)plus the improved memory controller makes it easier to fill the slots and achieve higher memory speeds Edited August 18, 2007 by Pyr0
