chris.hogg
Hi there! Currently having a problem where when logging onto a WinXP machine it is sitting on the 'loading your personal settings' and not moving past this!!Has anyone got any ideas what could be causing this / how to solve? We have a work around where we get the user to login without a network cable in (local login) and then map their network drives after they have logged in, however this is hardly acceptable!!Any help appreciated
cluberti
Hmmm - normally I'd say generate a dump of this behavior, but since this is almost always caused by antivirus or firewall software, try uninstalling the antivirus (and 3rd party firewall software, if it's installed) and reboot to see if this changes the behavior.
