Nepali

Recommended Posts

i fully installed n customized the role and policy of windows server 2003 R2 spending and devoting my lots of time specially creating appropriate policy settings.

In case of disaster, it will take me age to redifine the same settings.

Is there any way to export those settings to a file and import them incase needed so that i can sit back and relax......

thanks in advance

From the GPMC work your way down to the domain level you want to work with, then choose the Group policy Objects folder, here you have the choice if you right click hte folder to backup every GPO or you can select individual GPOs from the folder itself

You're not dumb, but you really should read the help (specifically the "Back Up, Restore, Copy, and Import" section) when you're stuck before you post.

But, to help you out this time, you need to click the "Group Policy Objects" folder in the left pane, and then right-click the GPO in the right pane to get those options.

one simple question

could these GPO can be transfered to another domain

ie if i save these GPO from "radius.rewanet.com"

can i restore it on "turbo.turbine.com.np"

or it should be on the same machine with same domain name
