weEvil
I'm looking through the list of Post SP2 hotfixes... but I can't download any of them. No link on the Microsoft site. Where do I get them? And do I need post SP1 hotfixes along too? Or will the Second Service pack take care of that? I heard service packs only include critical updates. Also, would nLite be an ok alternative for integration?
XibaD
This is the dynamic list of hotfixes for WS2k3 that Tomcat76 has build to use with HFSLIP. Check it out:http://users.telenet.be/tc76/winup/_win2k3sp2.htmlAnd you do not need post SP1 updates, since they are included in SP2.In my personal opinnion, HFSLIP is better for slipstreaming hotfixes than nLite, but you can use it too. vci
be careful:there are 2 different versions of windows server 2003 ....the normal 2003 server edition, and R2R2 is an addon for the normal version BUT it cannot be applied after service pack 2!so if you use R2, stay away from slipstreaming, just install a plain windows server 2003 service pack 1, then R2, then service pack 2, and then download any other hotfix ...don't ask me why, it is just microsoft ...just ordered my macbook ... *g*
Tomcat76
so if you use R2, stay away from slipstreaming, just install a plain windows server 2003 service pack 1, then R2, then service pack 2, and then download any other hotfix ...Kind of defeats the purpose of a slipstreaming tool, doesn't it? If the extras still work after applying SP2, there must be a way to install SP2 beforehand as well.don't ask me why, it is just microsoft ...just ordered my macbook ... *g*So you spent all that money, and then you buy a Mac. Crazy people....
