anonymous_user
In the compatbility window you can check Aero and vLite will automatically hide the components needed. Then in Vista you will need a video driver that supports Aero Glass and you have to apply Aero Glass (Control Panel > Personalization > etc...). docthemac
@anonymous user, Thanks for the reply. I did check that box in the compatbility window. And I am able to use Aero when I do a full install. But after I use vLite, and go to Control Panel > Personalization. The option is gone? :( Not sure what is going wrong
nuhi
If you selected Aero compatibility (or kept Aero theme and DWM service) then:- make sure your latest display drivers are installed- see if DWM service is running- change theme to classic, apply, then back to Aero, apply, then go in Control Panel > Personalization and see if it's thereI assure you vLite can't break Aero if those 2 components are alive. docthemac
@nuhi, Thanks for the reply! I think it may be the display drivers. Never thought about that. What is DWM, and how to check if it's running? I will reply back after I install the display drivers
nuhi
DWM is Desktop Window Manager Session Manager, in Control Panel (Classic) - Administrative Tools - Services
