marxo Posted July 14, 2007 Share Posted July 14, 2007 (edited) First of all : Is there anybody who still regularly uses Windows NT4?I know that NT4 was not so popular even at "his time" but I would really like to know does anyone prefer NT4 over 9x systems for their legacy PCs and if anybody uses it still?This should be a general discussion about NT4 today and in general.Might help me and perhaps awergh and his NT4 Visual Update to make some nice things...BenoitRen thanks for the inspiration... Fast as hell for sure.Those are just cosmetics I'd expect some more 'serious' cons against NT4 than that Ie lack of DX beyond DX5, lack of drivers for newer hardware, etc etc...Other than that its just great OS, perhaps one of the best to come out from Redmond (or should I say from IBM ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think they are slated to get replaced next year though.As far as usb, drivers to exist to now for usb on NT. Would I be breaking any forum rules to post them? My kids all use their PCs to surf and chat over DSL (cause newer games dont run on their mashines). I wanna test, if just using Thinclients for them (around 20 EUR / ~28 $) from eBay could save us a lot of power.
