Applied image not booting

Hey all,

I recently downloaded WAIK so I didn't have to waste time reinstalling applications on my computers everytime I needed to format. I am completely lost about why the image I applied to my C: (Windows Vista Ultimate) won't boot.

The OS was sysprepped (generalized) then I imaged it on Windows PE with the command " imagex /compress maximum /flags "Ultimate" /check /capture C: C:/image.wim "vista" ".

The image was then stored on my file server and copied to the target computer which was being formatted. After formatting with diskpart, the image was moved to the c: drive and was applied with the /apply switch. After it was applied, I rebooted the computer only to recieve the "Please insert bootable.." message.

Am I missing a step?

Thanks in Advance,

xTatic.
