  1. Although on the website for Universal Extractor keeps saying it supports MHTML files for extraction, there is a major problem with it. Most browsers that save in that format, save with the MHTML extension and not MHT, which is what Internet Explorer saves as. So, what strikes me, is how can it say Universal Extractor and even ExtractMHT support MHTML files, when it won't even recognize the MHTML being used as an extension. Even the Fork in the road, hasn't fix that problem. I would think people as smart as to make such a program would be as smart to realize that browsers save MHT and MHTML pages and both would be recognized and that Windows has both extensions in the registry. Sure, I can change the MHTML to MHT, but who wants to change several hundred file extension names? Is there a simple way to fix this problem without having to change every MHTML extension to MHT? And I thought the earlier version of Universal Extractor had no problem with extraction of that, but maybe it was another/ better program I used in the past? I guess I will just use the Plugin for 7zip to extract that.
  2. It would seem that the Windows/Microsoft Update site is a little bit broken. I noticed this recently and first thought that it was just a problem with Windows 2000. But it seems to be affecting Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 as well. All of the affected OS's give that same error message, with IE6 and Microsoft Update on Windows 2000, and IE8 and Microsoft Update on XP and Server 2003. Strangely enough, it would seem that the older (I think) Windows Update client still works, at least that is the case on my main computer running Windows XP x64. Has anyone else noticed this issue?
  3. I'm sure this has been reported, and there is probably a fix. I tried Googling it and searching for it here to no avail. I probably just wasn't wording my search correctly. My problem: the Internet icon in the start menu will not change to the default browser or to the one specified as it is supposed to do. My default browser is set to Mozilla Firefox (for obvious reasons) and even set in the start menu settings, but it doesn't reflect on the Internet icon. Microsoft update didn't work either, but I saw the thread here about it and downgraded the muweb.dll to x.256 or whatever it was. I do have the POS update registry edit if that makes any difference. This copy of Windows XP was installed yesterday. It has updates from onepiece slipstreamed (by nLite).
