vmware and virtualbox do virtualizations, there is no need to install intel or nvidia or whatever you want driver, only vmware's software (i forgot the name) or guest additions for virtual box; vitualization means it runs on top of your existing os, not directly on your hardware which is why the performance of a vm is way worse have you never used a vm before? the timing problem has been looked into a billion times already

Really? Have you tried it, especially Windows Vista x64 SP2 without any driver and updates (in VirtualBox and VMware), on 5th Intel Core generation or newer, using VT-x and VT-d? Try install it in both VirtualBox and VMware and then send the screenshot to me through message. I would to know and check if it's successfully entered to desktop, or black screen with or without error message, before or after the welcome screen, or even the worse one, BSOD. And don't forget to reboot the VM multiple times after installing if the first time boot has little or no problems, to verify the bug effect. The screen must be black, with or without errors, before the welcome screen, in many chances.

@win32 Hi, have you an idea about how to make VirtualBox to creat the MEMORY.DMP file , I went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl\CrashDumpEnabled and changed the value to 1 ,but it didn't solve the problem , I need to know the new BaseAddress of the kernel32.dll with WinDbg to solve the problem .

I downloaded and installed VirtualBox(No hardering) 5.2/6.0/6.1 on Windows Vista, create VM and starting........ Error.

I have verified that VirtualBox stops working when the Extended Kernel is installed. (Again I go back to the old original Vista.) T o T

That's byte-for-byte equivalent to Vista's psapi.GetPerformanceInfo. I tried making K32GetPerformanceInfo (and some other K32 functions) redirect to their PSAPI_VERSION_1 equivalents. The only difference was Advanced Chrome 84 crashing silently instead of the dispatching of a crash dialog. 8.1's (K32)GetPerformanceInfo is a little different (and is self-contained), but I remember that no matter what implementation it was, the problem was NtQuerySystemInformation/NtQueryInformationProcess/etc. Those may return more subparameters in 7 x86 than in Vista x86, which may be where the problem lies. No. I chose 2017 as it predates a major performance drop in Windows binaries and Spectre/Meltdown mitigations. It would also be a lot of work refactoring everything. I thought about putting the new functions in wrappers linking back to the extant kernel32, and maybe trying some stuff with knowndlls to somehow make the redirection seamless like it is for custom ntoskrnls with different names, but shared data structures and subroutines would be a problem. And while I'm at it, there is going to be an installer, using a batch script. Admin privileges required. It renames the files in use, copies the new ones, and requires a reboot. I am also going to self-sign the files to satisfy the VirtualBox hardening requirements (you may have to do the same thing if you want to run 4.2.xx/4.3xx+ on Windows 2000).

Trying this extended kernel makes windows vista bluescreen, i tried this with a fresh copy of windows vista home premium x64 i tried in one of my laptops (Acer Aspire 5920g) and ina vm with virtualbox, all goes well till i copy the files to system32 through the windows vista installer Does anyone know any solution to this, or i should use windows vista ultimate?

I think that's why teamspeak also does not work, and in future virtualbox may not work too.
