@ MDGX: I've updated 98se2me to the last version, but I've problems to replace icon of 98SE2ME.exe with your last MAINICON (I use restorator for this). When I do it, I receive this error if I execute 98SE2ME.exe after replace: "Setup Files are corrupted." Thank you for all your work.

Works, but all updates are in english, therefore it's better that you localize Auto-Patcher for your language.

Uninstallation of Adaptec ASPI 4.60.1021 in general is problematic... i've had few days ago "aspienum.vxd missing" after uninstallation during boot.

Depends how do you have applied these packs. Never had particular problems with all packs in this board, except windows explorer patch to 256 colors and few things.

It's only for english version... kernel32.dll file is multilanguage.

@ soporific: Can you put "(multilanguage)" in each update that supports different languages? I'm creating first basis from Auto-Patcher in italian (I've translated all program), but it's very hard to know what updates are only in english and what updates are also in different languages. Another simple method is to separate official hotfixes from unofficial hotfixes. This differentiation is very important.... About unofficial hotfixes, I ask you if you can compile certain italian hotfixes (originally in english) with iexpress, using your .sed files and italian files that I can send you. I think that we must have a common contact via email/chat. Let me know if you're interested.

Windows 98 is old only because MS has discontinued development of this OS... but with a patient restructuration all is possible. Some examples are Revolutions Pack Lite and 98SE2ME... and also KernelEx.

It's very hard for me to localize format.com and fdisk.exe , what's the trick? Each minimum text replacing with "Pspad EX" generates error when I see result.... These problems of localization/hex editing never had with "normal" files.

There isn't neither a lameskin documentation that explains how modify buttons, nor an order... it is necessary to make more tests and see results. It's a gradual process. Good luck.

Chapter 1 To add a new theme, create a copy of an existent theme of reference in c:\windows\resources (in this example "Vista"), and edit name of folder (for example I modify "Vista" in "Mytheme"). Last passage, rename inside themes.reg (allocated in "lame" folder of RP) the correspondent string of your existent theme of reference for example Vista in MyTheme. Then, double-click themes.reg. In this way you've a new theme based on a existent theme, to modify. Chapter 2 Step 1: you can modify desktop color, fonts, titlebar color on "properties" > "appearance". http://hsc.unm.edu/wbc/images/chgdisplayprop.gif When you've finished, click on "save as" and overwrite theme with same name. To see "real" result with lameskin, simply change theme and set again your theme. Step 2: edit images in "c:\windows\resources\Mytheme" with photoshop or similar. Chapter 3 When you've completed theme, export in regedit this entire key in a file called MyTheme.reg: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Appearance\Schemes After, delete all themes strings except your theme strings.
