Ok, I found the new version of BDD 2007. Microsoft has cleverly renamed the tool kit to MDT. It can be found here for those looking. MDT Tool Kit 2008

Well, with a little help from these forums this is how you install Nero 7.014 silently with serial number included. It installs successfully from GUIRUNONCE. It should work from RUNONCEEX although I cannot confirm that. This will only work if you have a full legal version. I thought T13/t12 was used for service pack inf? runonceex runs after first logon does it not?

Is there an app out there that is more affordable than FlexnetAdminStudio? I have been trying to download an evaluation copy of Flexnet but the server keeps re-setting the connection . Not sure if I can afford it anyway, it's around 2 thousand dollars for a basic version, after the 30 day trial expires. Is there a more affordable solution out there. I just want to break apart some .msi files and edit them for my installs. Any suggestions? Creat A Great Day! slatz

I may be wrong but you can't run a cleanup cmd until everything is installed, the way I see this is that the cleanup cmd is deleting all your installation apps before they are installed. But like I said I could be wrong as I am not an expert in the field. Also your winnt.sif file has to say YES to the OEM Preinstall question. Hope that helps, maybe someone with more experience will hav a better answer.

Ok, upon further reading I just realized I can run more then one command from GuiRunOnce. I will just create another command for the office installation seperate from the rest of the apps. Sorry for the dumbass question..lol

Is it possible to install programs from GuiRunOnce and RunonceEx? during an unattended installation. the reason I am asking is because I currently have 5 programs that get installed from GuiRunOnce. I have added Nero 7 to the GuiRunOnce and it now pooches my install of Office Premium. So, to avoid issues I am thinking of running my Office Premium installation from "RunOnceEx to aviod the issues. Is it possible or will they interfere with one another? If that isn't possible, how would I go about resolving this issue? Could I write a batch file that installs Office on the second reboot or something? Or write a batch file that installs Office upon creation of a new user account? Thanks in advance! Has anyone been successful with an unattended install of Belarc? if so what commands did you use in the runonceex file? Any help would be appreciated. Cool app I am surprised there is no info on it here, only 1 or 2 threads but no info on successes...thanks

Hey everybody, thanks for the awesome info on this site. I have finally managed to get a copy of an unattended DVD up and running complete with all the applications we pre-install on customers boxes via the service pack method and the runonceex method. However there is one question remaining that I have no clue how to setup and run properly. After the install is complete I have it setup where it just logs into an administrator account. This way we can finish installing drivers that are new and blah blah blah. After we are finished with any driver issues we setup an user account on the machine, and this brings me to my final task. How do I setup the cleanup.cmd to cleanup the %systemdrive%\apps\ folder which was used to install apps. I want this commamd to run the first time a user logs on, not the first time an administrator logs on? I have tried a few things but I obviously have the parameters and or syntax wrong. I did have the cleanup command run after the apps were installed but was having trouble with it because it would run before all the apps were finished installing. I put it on a five minute delay and that seemed to work but as we know all boxes are different and 5 minutes wasn't enough for some boxes to finish the apps install. Thanks guys for the help! How do you make cab files for addons with nlite? I would like to make a few programs into cab file addons for nlite such as nero etc. Was just wondering what program is best to use and what files I need to include in the cab file. I searched the forum here for an answer but couldn't find one. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it ok to use .msi files with an InstallShield.cmd file? or do they have to be setup.exe files?
