ok.....thnks..!
suppose i hv this
--->>>..\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\003_gigabitlan
....n accord to ur views if it get copied to c:\drivers....
then how confirmed is it that my gigabit integrated lan would work??
or same for my audio drivers........
if they gets copied ...wud my audio work???
In your winnt.sif, you tell setup to go look for drivers in those folders. If setup finds a driver that's made for your hardware, it installs it.
So, IF you typed the right paths in your winnt.sif, it should work

De javu?
No, it's Deja Vu.
In fact it is "déjà-vu"

yes you can. Search with google to find a raid guide...

...80C and higher can melt you cpu in liquid...
I don't think so... That's a bit overreacting IMO...

I would not recommend using RAID 0, but instead I'd recommend to buy a WD raptor 36 or 74 GB (74 if you've got too many money ) and use that one as OS/PROGRAMS disk and buy cheaper (perhaps PATA, for the lower price?) disk, meant for storage. That's waaaay faster!

so you have a PCIExpress mobo already?
nice

use google to find some how-to's... There are hundreds, if not thousands oc'ing sites out there...

That's doesn't happen for me on .NET 1.1 + Dutch language pack neither. Using same switch as AaronXP.
A Dutch version has been released; no need anymore to install a language pack...

most important question:
what's your budget?
also important:
could you wait for another month (or two perhaps?) (release next generation gfx cards)

I think a program to create a RunOnceEx.cmd would be very usefull, that would make things alot easier. And not much data is needed, so such a program could be written very fast, not?

You can also make a sfx/rar to extract your icons in the Quick Launch folder
using %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch as the target dir
I prefer this method ' cause putting the files in the $oem$ folder make them read only 'cause they come form the cd during the blue screen just after the copy of the windows files during start of installation)
to activate the quick launch automatically i didn't use it i activate it manually after first boot
This isn't true, with following command you can remove all attributes...
attrib -R -H X:\folder /S /D

"mpsetup.exe /Q:A /R:N /c:""setup_wm.exe /Q /R:N /NoPID /DisallowSystemRestore"""
HKLM, "Software\Classes\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences", "AcceptedEULA", 0x00010001, 1
Sure there isn't a mistake in the switches above? It doesn't work here... :s (Which is the reason I've searched and found WMP deployment pack
0 -
OK, the deployment pack turned out to be anything but usefull...
What can you do with it?
1) WMP = set standard , Y/N
2) Settings included in mpsetup.msi , Y/N
==> if N, go to 3)
==> if Y, settings from this PC or a target one (copy from target pc to correct folder)
==> if Y, edit Group Policies , Y/N
3) The new mpsetup will be created.
No (extra) options for unattended install...

I've found something very interesting over here.
Deployment pack for WMP9! Direct download link.
Now you can set up everything before! (settings, policies, standard media player yes or no,etc.)

I'm quiet sure this is a useless reply , but did you reboot after you've installed Java?
0 -
Yes. You should only turn it on if the password has been encrypted by the Answer File Setup, which you can find in the deployment tools.

My UXPCD is getting very close to the finishing touch... The only problem that's left is that at T-12 (when svcpack.inf runs) I'm getting this very, VERY annoying screen, that asks the following:
Are you sure you want to proceed installation of WMP9, while system restore is turned off? When system restore is turned off, you won't be able to un-install it.
I'm installing it like this: "WMP9.exe /Q:A /R:N" and system restore is turned off when cmdlines.txt ran.
How can I prevent WMP9 setup from doing this?
(not by turnning sr on again, and off at first logon or anything alike plz..)
thx in advance

I've tried to pack my Install and Driver folders, worked perfect when running Windows, but in Setup it didn't work at all...
WinRAR_SFX_archive.exe /S
works in Windows
but not in setup...
But Prahatpml (sorry it isn't correct, but your name is that difficult, you know??) told me it IS possible when you'd use 7ZIP... Try it, I'd say...

I've repackaged it as described in Greenmachine's guide. When I try to install it, I get the following error:
Can't open this installation package. Check if the package exists and if you have permission to the package, or contact the manufacturer of the application to check if the package is a valid Windows-Installer packet.
What am I doing wrong?
(BTW: I'm using Dutch copy of WinXP Pro and English version of .Net Framework, because Dutch version of that doesn't exist. However, I install a Dutch languagepack)
EDIT: stupid me I've found a Dutch version, link to Microsoft's download page
REM: tested it: dotnetfx.exe /Q:A /R:N ==>result: installed silent, but still a confirming screen at the end... Isn't there a switch, or do I really have to repackage it?

I've got the same problem AND I've used the same work-around
You can find the real solution in the official topic: link
EDIT: titou2k posted the answer
good luck with it

Microsoft has built in a tool to do this for you: you can find it in : Start, Programs, Accesories, Systemtools, Wizard migrate files and settings
I don't know if the names mentioned above are completely correct, as I'm using a Dutch Windows version... But you'll know where to find it.
If you'd also like to transfer your MS Office settings, that's also possible, use the built-in help function for details.

Now I've got another problem: I used Jdeboecks removing-scripts, without trouble , made the ISO and tested it in VPC. For the record: I didn't remove IE, OE or WMP this time. Only gamecontrollers images, moviemaker, windows messenger, netmeeting, games, etc. NO drivers
When windows boots there are problems with rundll32.exe:
[rundll32.exe - Can't find part]
This application can't be started because framedyn.dll can't be found. Reinstalling this apllication can solve the problem
[OK]
I click OK
[RUNDLL]
There has been a fault while loading srclient.dll
Can't find the stated module.
[OK]
I click OK
What can I do to solve this? And what's causing this problem?

Help me with Nero Burning Rom
in Application Installs
Posted
To all those who are having troubles with installing in their language, I do it like this:
1. download the newest Nero from nero.com AND the language pack you need
2. install it like this:
nero6xxx.exe /SILENT /NOREBOOT
nerolangpack.exe /SILENT /NOREBOOT
works fine for me...
