  1. The Desktop Sidebar issue is something that was also brought to my attention over at RyanVM's forums. Personally, I am only able to duplicate the problem on a computer that has an nVidia video adapter  I don't quite get that. Just a little background for those interested: the Desktop Sidebar installer is not a repack like most of my installers. It's the original .msi file with plugins and skins injected into it. In due course of troubleshooting the issue I made an installer with the original .msi file and got the same error (on a laptop with an nVidia Go).

So it seems to work for some and not others. My suggestion is that if you want to be on the safe side, install it from RunOnceEx.

Allright,'ll try to install it from the RunOnex.

    Thnks

  2. did you download the MSI within the last 12 hours?

I did a silent update when i realized that the skin setting wasn't being applied. it SHOULD work now. I'll double check the ISM anyway, but it should be working.

As for teh parent switches overriding the child ones....yeah...it's always done that. I haven't had the time to sit down and do the KMAPs to figure out the more precise system. Windows Installer system for conditions isn't all that precise anyway.

I've downloaded and tried it again today but still the same result. After install it's winamp with a classic skin.

.....CURSES! Alright, I'm compiling another build now, and I'll test it in a VM real quick to ensure that the setting works now. I'll post back when i'm done.

    Done. Should be working now.

Thank you, very much. Now it's working perfect.
