    1) am at a $1500 budget

    2) this must be a reliable and Beefy Machine for my jobs to be done,

    3) especially when am out of town & need files from my pc or do my personal accounting with quickbooks

    4) check the status on my video being rendered and not crash before completion

    5) as i've said my 2 kids are streaming media from that main pc via NComputing L300, along my wife (NComputing L300) plus my personal Laptop

    6) my wife does accounting from home, so she may need access to other files when she's at a client or on the road.

    7) we watch Bluray movies on our 42"

    8) plus we play massive Gaming on Sundays on our 32"

    Hi guys i need your expertise opinion on building my new Workstation, this would be used for Media Server, HTPC and for my Gaming, this will be sharing to 3 more pc, 1 laptop and 3 external RDP users. So they will be accessing all videos, Quickbooks, music, office files. This server i would prefer not to power off at nights, should run 24/7s. now i would like to play any Games on this machine, do graphic or video editing, rendering, etc. Now my most important question is, will i be making the right choice to run my games on this Asus P8B WS with Xeon E3-1245 and ECC memory, why am using these is because of more stability, tired of windows crashing but with enough power to do all i need. S will the server mb with xeon cpu and ecc memory hinder me from playing games?

    computer is invisible on my network places

    computer is invisible on my network places

    am using windows xp pro sp3, setup a network and i can see all computers except one, even when i disconnect am still unable to see the computer name in the network list of workgroup, so when workgroup is open there's nothing in the list, but when i connect to the network and when i click run then type \\computername i see the invisible computer open in a window with all the shared folders i have.

    i have all services running and at automatic - computer browser, server and workstation.

    in the network properties, Netbeui is installed and in the tcp/ip static ip with WINS set as NetBios enabled.

    how do i make this PC visible in my workgroup

    tried recuva, diskgetor, File Rescue Plus, ParetoLogic Data Recovery Pro, Zero Assumption Recovery, Undelet, PC inspector file recovery, R-Studio, Smart Data, Emergency Recover, FileRecovery Angel, GetDataBack, Recover my Files and Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery.

    most of which i tried from a live cd.

    do you think i may stand a better chance of formatting then try to recover my files?

    hi, guys i am using windows 7 and i was installing an application, then i got a blue screen, after rebooting i notice my folder with all my file on the desktop was not there anymore, i tried a few recovery software that's only finding deleted stuffs but still cant find that folder nor my files that was in there, your help will be greatly appreciated.

    hey guys, am trying to networking two computers three computers over the internet, one is the server which has the database and the other two are in two different location which needs access to the server database so they may search and input data into quickbooks. i need help in setting this up, any solutions to this?

    what i have:

    (home)

    one server with quickbooks, already setup as the server with the 2 more user licsence - 1 mb internet

    1 wireless G Linksys Router

    (the 2 locationes)

    two pc with quickbooks setup as client - 1mb internet

    Where to find like a roadmap for LCD monitor and HDTV

    need to find the specs & prices

    features am looking for:

    3D LCD monitors and TVs

    MultiTouch screen

    Response Time

    where they use Nvidia 3D vision kit or similar to iZ3D monitor

    ( even a road map for iZ3D )

    what am ultimately looking for is between 22"-26" LCD monitor with TV Tuner, 2-3ms response time, 120hz refresh rate, inputs HDMi, DVi, TV Tuner, Types of polarized glasses can be used and if it is like the iZ3D monitor which does not use any other device other than itself & glasses to show images, videos & gaming in 3D.... ( only if iZ3D had these features or any other brand )

    Vaio VGN-FJ370 screen problem

    To me sounds like a hardware problem, may a defective screen connection be causing this but more probably a screen failure.

    How did you get to that condition?

    oh it fell, so its a hardware connection issue, do u know how can i find where this issue is and how to fix it?

    remember the display is not in the center but to the left of the screen, on the right is all black and the bottom blurry, so its not a driver issue.

    on the right side about 1/4 of the screen is totally black and thus reduce the screen size

    in other words its showing as if its less than 14" like maybe 13"

    and about 1/2 at the bottom is blurry

    if i plug a monitor to it, it show full screen...

    what can i do to fix this, sometimes i may get it in full screen when i restart.

    is there any solution for this?

    this website loads well on my computer or from a cd, but since i uploaded to the web, am getting multiple issues...

    home page loads well but firefox crashes whenever i enter the gallery, then if i do go into the gallery some pictures in gallery won't show/ load, running on a windows hosting at godaddy.

    i tried uploading the site from godaddy, then using ftp, am having the same problem or got worst.

    Help HDD Repair, WD Sata 400GB

    hi, guys

    see i have a western didgital sata 400gb HDD with all my data, what happened was that i had the drive on the floor pluged in and water managed to settle under the circuit board and i did not know and powered on the pc then i saw an error message that says hard disk error, so after observing my HDD i say the liquid on it, so to get back my data i was thinking to try replacing the PCB controller board and finish backup my data, but i have no clue where to find them, their cost and do i have to get a 400gb PCB board or anyone would do?

    need a autoit script to open specific excel file search column A, if it finds yes, then click save and new button on the quickbooks invoice form, else skip to next row then copy data from this cell in excel then paste it into the desired field in quickbooks invoice form, then the next cell to the next field or maybe from copy range from column B to Column G for example.

    so in column A, the title is New Transaction, then for each new transaction will say yes in that cell
