steev, such problem means that your system files were overwritten. Meaning you did something wrong in the sequence. Try again on the clean installation files with slipstreamed service pack and do all at once, integration, removal, config whatever. If you want to use different tools for integration then use them before nlite and report if it doesn't work but also provide us with the preset and short instructions how to repeat the issue.

I ment start it, not just change the status but i see you disable many services. Either disable services page and start all over or enable by hand all services that are disabled...at least put them to Manual then START them (by right clicking and choosing start) then you see which one was that. Also post here so that we know.

@Soggy, there is one important thing, MCE is still not supported in nlite but on this forum there is a guide how to install it successfully. Basically you copy second cd over the first one and browse with nlite to that folder. But while testing I saw that when something is removed then MCE cdkey really isn't working. I'm trying to figure out why, until then remove as little as possible if you remove at all, if you don't then use the Unattended page freely. As I said search for a topic. Or as Alanoll says make your own file if that is all that you want to do, it's simple enough. @Alanoll, hehe, no ofence to a Microsoft but I would like to know how the kernel works. hehe, well my idea would be that it is normal...maaaaybe it's because of removed Indexing service if you do that. Then try enabling larger caching, then disable Antivirus, but this kind of behavior is normal, in Vista it's even longer, there is even a progress bar on top of every browse, yeah...slow... I never thought about it as a weird thing since it's logical to refresh a directory once you're in it. If anyone can confirm that something removed or tweaked is the cause of this that would be great thing to know.

You should be able to install it with the drivers removed, if otherwise let me know. Best would be to install on another partition just for trial, if you don't have another partition then play in the virtual machines but then drivers won't have any effect because it doesn't use your real hardware. Be careful, I mess up sometimes too, also be ready to reinstall if needed, don't start installing programs until you're sure that all drivers are in place.

catborise, it may be some special language character issue in the path. Try to install nlite in some simple path as a C:\nlite put hotfixes in C:\hotfixes and copy clean windows installation files (with service pack slipstreamed) into C:\wincd Now see if that helps, if not then do it by slowly removing half by half hotfixes until you find which it is then I'll easily detect the error.

LeveL, I see you got into the issue yourself, I am annoyed by the fact of the HTML association loss after IE removal, gotta do something with it. But the weird thing is that if you run Firefox early after setup and choose it as a default browser all is fine, it's something else that is locking me out later on.
