  1. Did you ever do more on your Reduce memory project , last version was 1.2? It still does wonders.

    email me at angelico.q(at)gmail(dot -com)

  2. Manufacturer's homepages would be a good start, I found all drivers for my Win 7 x64 that way, except for some 1y old webcam. EDIT: typo
  3. Have MSI p35 platinum, same ahci effect here, tried latest bios, no improvement
  4. No way making it work. The strange thing is previous version worked, despite what they have said here.
  5. Klite for XP, 7 codec pack + x64 addon for win7
  6. Sure, Its better then Vista, will keep XP installed on Vmware, just in case I need some program that isn't 7 friendly And offcourse x64 variant of it (althought driver finding and driver installs are driving me crazy)
  7. I try disabling acceleration, to no affect. I will try resolution change, thanx
  8. No I have never tried to use VirtualBox so far, so I am unacostumed to it. I was hoping the problem was in some pre check up that can be mended with a reg entry, at least on temp basis. If anyone has any idea, please share it, however farfetched it might seem. I will try VirtualBox tommorow to see if same error occurs there. EDIT: I found a hint that disabling the video acceleration in the VMWare settings will enable PowerDVD to work, will test it out as well.
  9. That would explain why graphic card and sound card are not working. But doesn't explain why wifi card or modem is not working. I as well have info that are at best sketchy, so perhaps the best way to start about this is to go to technet forum and ask directly.
  10. I have a problem starting PowerDVD 9 on Vmware (XP SP3 host OS). It installs properly, but it starts (I see it from task manager running processes only, nothing on screen being displayed), and then exits. I need it to start in order to test if it is configured properly, since I deploy it preconfigured. It all works fine outside virtual machine OS, but the problem is I cannot be sure I preconfigured the silent install properly if I dont have a clean system Anyone can help out?
  11. Why doesn't the WinPE initialise the drivers for e.g. sound card properly? I thought it was due to dlls not being registered properly...
  12. Windows firewall and avira atm (moved from nod32). Actually I've read an article few days ago, about how great windows firewall is, and that if properly configured you dont need any additional firewall solution products. It seems they intentionally made it less available to the end user, probably fearing a possibility of a law siut, esspecially in EU. There is also a free tool available on the net to control and setup windows firewall. If you are looking for a bit more funcionality/ease of access , Comodo is the next best choice, although it is now bundled with AV. Acctually Comodo's AV scans quicker then nod32 4.x for example, but dunno if the update AV definitions as frequently as other major AV manufacturers. Typos...sry
  13. Yes 2.x. Testing program from company named Eurosoft support testing audio,... under 2.x. So that means its possible. Microsot claims u can't register dll's so it must be some other way. Don't know how, but since drivers are loaded and work, that means there is a workaround.
  14. Have an hanging issue when using Windows Media Player to watch .avi files divx codec. When I try to skip foward program freezes. Win7 x64. Clean install, no other programs installed. Bs Player works properly
  15. Ok new development, I have just learned that it si possible to make sound card work in WinPE2. Company named Eurosoft has released a version of WinPE2 that supports this.
  16. I just inputed all of the updates in nlite at once. And WMP11 and IE7 were slipped into source prior to that. I used the recommended updates from AutoPatcher, and since they take care of updates being superseded by other updates, don't think that's the problem. Probably nlite fails to update the source properly, but i am not sure of that. I have switched to Onepiece pack done by none fabio , since it has all that I wanted to integrate myself, and is updated frequently enough. So in a way, I accepted that as semi permanent solution. Thanks for all advice and help
  17. If you are talking about WinPE2, u cant do it, Microsoft stripped that possibility from WinPE... maybe with some workaround, but haven't seen one yet. DirectX, drivers such as sound, modems, wifi, gpu,...
  18. Here is the list of updates that don't integrate properly: Tested Onepiece pack, and it works flawlessly, it will keep me going for a while. @Kelsenellenelvian thank you again for the link.
  19. So I someone atm making a lite/micro editions of nero 9? (I saw Mara abandoned the project)
  20. Ok i have tried updating source manually, and same thing happens, so its NOT an nlite issue. I see that these updates are properly extracted in e.g. Onepieces pack. So I will go with that pack, althought it has some surplus updates that I don't want atm like WGA tray, IE8,... but it is bearable. It seems that there are more then 5 updates that are not integratable. So 5eraph I will post all those problematic tommorow, and hopefully u can help me solve the issue. Since I am updating my soft synthesys tommorow, I will go with one piece pack for now.
