  1. Something weird happening here, I have a hfslipped XP SP2 installed for about a month; just now I got a windows update telling me to download the 816093 update :S. By running Jview I get that I have the MS VM 5.00.3809. Why did it just let me know after a month or did something else could have happen?

  2. I've installed a hfslipped XP with all the MSXML files from the Current Windows XP SP2 updates (including MSXML 6.0), and then installed Visual Studio 2005. After that I wanted to install SQL Server Management Studio Express Edition (SSMSEE) but it asked me for MSXML 6.0 which as said before was already on the system. I could finally install SSMSEE by installing MSXML 6.0 again (same file I hfslipped). What could be the source of this problem? Thanks in advance.

  3. I know it was upgraded, the question is how come I never used it(only LegitCheckControl.cab) and it never asked me for it, but now that was upgraded(I updated LegitCheckControl.cab) it asks me for it.

  4. A question, before the latest update of WGA(KB905474) I only had a LegitCheckControl.cab and Windows Updates never complained about KB905474, but since the last update and even with an updated LegitCheckControl.cab WU now asks about KB905474, was something being done before so WU wouldn't ask for the hotfix that the new WGA brake?

  5. It worked perfectly :). Just a question, what do you recommend now? To continue with this source or that in my case I do not use the prep tool and start over? Would there be any problems?

  6. After installing XP, with the 1.3 rc1, I get notified by Windows Updates that I don't have KB920872 and KB900485 even tough I have them both on my HF folder. Here is my HFSLIP.log. I have used a hfsliped-preped source BTW.

EDIT: After checking the log file I created I see this:

    "

    .....

    Expandiendo source\i386\driver.cab a sourcess\i386\driver\xxwh1hlp.hlp.

    Expandiendo source\i386\driver.cab a sourcess\i386\driver\zlogic.cyz.

    4778 total de archivos.

    Adding updated driver files

0 archivos copiados // copied files

    0 archivos copiados

    0 archivos copiados

    0 archivos copiados

    0 archivos copiados

    0 archivos copiados

    0 archivos copiados

    0 archivos copiados

    0 archivos copiados

    0 archivos copiados

    Basic cleanup"

So I guess the new .sys files aren't being copied to driver.cab.

  7. @Kiki: 924496 was replaced by the latest IE cumulative updates (new one released today, btw!).

I'm on the FAQ section of the update and the only thing I see replaced is MS06-072(925454), not 924496; where did you see that info?

  8. Something weird happening here, I'm using 70212b with a hfslip-preped source; I'm was testing the iso creation with bbie.exe, mkisofs.exe and cygwin1.dll; after finishing creating the SOURCESS folder (which had driver.cab) the iso creation process started and then finished normally, but when I checked the SOURCESS folder driver.cab was nowhere to be found, like it was deleted by the iso creation process. (Just after the normal process said it copied driver.cab, I checked SOURCESS and it was there).

  9. :o, Thanks.

BTW, something offtopic; is it possible to put the Location code in winnt.sif? (The Location that appears at the bottom of Regional Settings, below "Standards and Formats"). If not, where is it possible?

  10. Currently I'm using nLite to make my installation Unattended(Repair Option, CD-Key and Regional Settings only); the only file necessary for this is winnt.sif? In which case would it suffice(for those results) to put it in the FIX folder and save one step in the process? Thanks in advance.

P.S.: Here I attach my winnt.sif with the cd-key and regional settings masked :P.
