Try HFSLIP64 first...

Just a question, are those cabs even supported by HFSLIP?

thanks!

if it also crashes in a VM, then it's NOT a RAM issue...

thanks jimmsta & tomalak!

Well, the tittle says it all, flash player 10.0.12.36 has been released, we need a package suitable for HFSLIP, can anybody create one?
cheers!

Hi!
First of all, post your hfslip.log file, you probably missed/missplaced something.
Now, if you can't install windows using a non-hfslipd CD either, that STOP code points to catastrophic HW error (deffective CPU/MB/RAM).
(could also be deffective media and/or CD drive)
Try installing in a VM, to rule out HW issues.
bye!

Still, I ditched WMP9 ages ago, so...

Thanks! problem solved. I will continue to include them when I run HFSLIP.

yes, I know that. What I was asking is why does WU/MU wants me to have them NOW, they're really old...And the were not needed before...

thanks for the info!

Just wondering, is HFSLIP intelligent enough to not overwrite newer files with older ones?

I noticed that MU/WU now wants me to have those updates, even if they're REALLY old?
Anybody else seeing this?
greetings,
J.

I think this package needs updating, after a clean install, MU/WU still wants me to have KB951072

Dude, you're in the wrong place. What's this got to do with HFSLIP???????
BTW, the're are no drivers for that card, just use the ones that w2k installs. It's REALLY old, support was dropped ages ago.

OK, weird thing, today I deleted the VM and created it again and this time it installed fine, except WU wants me to have KB951376 although I included it in HF...

Hi!
I just built an updated XP64 CD using hfslip64 1.1.3 and when trying to install, the installation never goes beyond T-37, it just sits there, forever...the animated indicator on tyhe lower-right keeps moving forever and the text showing the new features of windows changes every few seconds, but nothing else happens.
what gives?
I have used this exact version of hfslip64 in the past and everything went fine.
here's the Log:

Obviously, I was talking about installing with an HFSLIP'd source...

Hi!
I just noticed that when installing XP64, the initial wizard is skipped altogether and you end up in the "administrator" account by default.
Is this normal or is it a bug?
bye!

Hi!
TC told me on another post that he includes KB938127 because it includes newer binaries than the ones already included with SP3, even if WU doesn't ask for it. Moreover, trying to install it on an already-SP3 windows, results in an error saying that "the service pack is newer than the update you're trying to install (or something like that)". I think it should be removed from the updates list.
Just my two cents.
bye!

Don't know about that. I think there's an error in the HFSLIP.LOG file, it says "OS in SOURCESS", it should say "OS IN SOURCE". Unless is copies the source FIRST into SOURCESS and then apply the patches over that.

Thanks, I actually included KB898461 & the ones in your updates list, rebuilt and everything went just fine.
Thanks again for your great work!
bye!

IE8 support?
in HFSLIP
Posted
Hi everyone, IE8 final was released yesterday, is it gonna be supported by HFSLIP anytime soon?
