    Win 7 Robocopy

error 1326 means invalid username or password, so obviously retype your credentials in windows task scheduler.
  3. It would help if you posted the exact error message you get
  4. When i launched Windows XP for microsoft in 2001 one of my first calls was how to revert to the previous start menu. I had a coworker who launched windows 95 years earlier, and he said his first call was from someone who wanted the file manager for the shell instead of explorer.exe. Somethings never change...
  5. if ISO is over 2 gigs of course make sure you are using NTFS for the drive and the UDF option, otherwise files over 2 gigs are corrupted.
  6. you can always extract the iso and run setup.exe
  7. now has support for server 2008 r2 http://www.codeplex.com/CoreConfig
  8. Anyone use it? I dont understand whats the point of it, isnt that what email is for?
  9. Microsoft has released a tool to let you boot hyper-v r2 from usb: http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/BootHVSR2FromUSB Or you can do it manually: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library...893(WS.10).aspx
  10. I dont see any reason why you wouldnt use that to create a multi boot dvd with XP and windows 7. Its just a boot sector. My question is has anyone actually tried that?
  11. Looking at windows 7 OPK/WAIK the new oscdimg.exe has a feature to create a multibook DVD/CD. Has anyone tried this feature yet? And has examples?
  12. Dear Technical Preview Participants, Thank you so much for all your feedback on the Office 2010 Click-to-Run Technical Preview. Your feedback has been of great help to the product team. We are starting to prepare the Microsoft Connect site for the next Office 2010 release that we will also be asking for you to provide feedback on to us. You will receive an email next week with more information about the new release. Starting November 10, 2009, the Office 2010 Click-to-Run Technical Preview release will no longer have available for downloading. You can continue to use the product on any computer it is installed. It is important that you plan for the next product release. This release will NOT be upgradeable. You will be required to completely uninstall the current version of your product on the machine. We strongly advise that you backup all of your data files, before you uninstall the Office 2010 Click-to-Run Technical Preview release. Again, thank you for your participation and feedback in the Office 2010 Office 2010 Click-to-Run Technical Preview Program. Office 2010 Click-to-Run Product Team

  15. Windows 7 supports inf's. The only thing to be aware of is permissions have changed from windows xp, so you will need to double check all your settings take effect.
  16. When you add computers to a windows 7 homegroup it automatically lets you share out music, you shouldnt have to do anything other than add the computers to a home group.
  17. Thats a nice tool. It would be nice if it had a debug mode so you could see the commands it runs for learning purposes. Ive also heard a new feature of windows 7 is you can remove a driver from the store - before you could only add, not update any drivers. DISM looks like a cool tool in windows 7.
  18. File protection is still in windows 7, its just the architecture has changed. There is no longer a dllcache, instead the files are locally installed as a filestore in the SXS cache. You can always go into safe mode to rename a protected file, but youll need to disable windows from restoring it from the SXS cache
  19. Went to the windows 7 launch in phoenix on monday. Overall it was very disappointing. Instead of hosting it at the phoenix convention center like last year, M$ hosted the launch at a movie theatre. It was really low brow. Overall the content was ok though. Windows 7 looks good.
