    How do I fix it?

  4. Hi, I have two partitons. One has Windows XP Home Editon, the other one has Longhorn 4051 Beta. Two days ago, I've formatted and overwritten Longhorn 4051 with Windows 2000. After I finished installing Windows 2000 and booted up, but I could only log into Windows 2000. I got a black screen when I chose Windows XP to log in.

I checked my boot.ini, it seems fine. Can anyone help me out here, please?

  5. Hi, I have a question need to ask, can some1 please help me out?

Evertime I boot up my computer, I check Local Connection, my "Send" is always greater "Receive" under the "Activity". (see pic) My local DSL company told me that there might be a virus in my computer, that's why the "Send" is always greater than "Receive". Is that true?

I'm using Windows XP Pro, up-to-date Kaspersky Anti-Virus, and Sygate Personal Firewall. I've done full system virus scan, and check the activity in the firewall program, but I couldn't find something wrong. (I shared with my brother with a router to connect to the internet)

Thanks for your help in advance.

  7. Hi, I slipstreamed XP service pack 1 on to the Dell OEM CD and made it bootable.

When I tried to install it on my computer, I received this message "vga.sys is corrupted"; At the same time non-DELL based slipstreamed CD works fine. :)

Can some1 help me out, please?

    Thanks in advance.

  8. hey, rstryker

OK i took the svcpack.inf that was in my svcpack folder and ran makecab on it from cmd prompt and replaced the one in i386 folder with this.

Sorry for the stupid question, what do you mean by "ran makecab on it from cdm prompt and replaced the one in i386 folder" ?
