There is a current Windows Update, KB3048043 released this week, that updates DWMCore.dll. I suspect that's what's hindering the Aero Glass product.
last week I got the private symbol for this DLL. Maybe MS noticed this an removed the private PDB but forgot to upload the public PDB now to the symbol server.

Windows 8/10 do a maintenance task during idle, which does Defrag, WinSxS compression and NGEN which Win7 doesn't do and this causes extra CPU usage, so the idle temperature is a bit higher.

the NVIDIA GeForce 210 is simply too slow. The DWM service calls some DWM functions to validate which windows are shown (dwmredir.dll!CWindowContext::GetWindowVisibleRegion).
And the DPCs also come from the nVIDIA driver:

when I typed Desktop in the search I was able to run the dialog to change icons.

So far, Build 10074 has been an underwhelming experience, to say the least:
- The Notifications pop-up says that I have two notifications, but when I click on them nothing happens.
this happens for me since the first preview. Windows also annoys me to do a scheduled restart to finish the offered update, which I already did.

Good news anyway. I don't know if I'm stupid or MS is stupid but they accidentally released symbols for dwmcore.dll (10061.9).
they also released a new PDB for a new Windows 8.1 Update and this downloads the private PDB (which has more information than the public/stripped PDB)

I just tried Firefox and it has 1-2% CPU usage on my mobile i5 Dual Core CPU. I also have no memory usage grow. I tried the 64Bit Firefox 38 Beta8.

try a different browser like Firefox or IE11. Does this also show the issues?

according to the KB article it updates the Dwmcore.dll, so yeah, an updated Dwmcore.dll can always break Aero Glass.

do you also have a high memory usage in this scenario? Which browser do you use? Does the site uses HTML5 or Flash?

I can't see that you have dedicated VRAM. This is why I asked for AIDA64 or HWiNFO screenshots of the system info

yes, this is correct. I see that you use Steam to play the game. Maybe Steam updated the game 1-2 months ago and a newer patch (maybe a beta) cause the issue.

the other topic was a different issue. Try different nVIDIA drivers (also older ones, which where optimized more for so old cards).
