  1. I'm not sure exactly where the problem starts with it but sometime during setup with a card reader and ALL of the extra drives Windows reads them funny and the wrong entry gets entered during the running of cmdlines.txt I have tried lots of fixes and short of making WPI just ignore the first say 12 drives their was no solution I could come up with. I tried making the script read for the drives backwards (yannow z-a) and everything.
  2. You can't fix this issue. OK maybe SOMEONE can but we can't I finally tore mine out. (A card reader that is)
  3. hmmmm this bears further testing!! I hope you're right this migh tsolve the last of the reboot errors.
  4. Actually you only payed for the rights to use the sofware not the right to modify, resell or abuse it in any way. If you read MS's stupid EULA you'll soon realize by using windows you are actually loosing more rights than you gain. It's more of a "I rented it" dealy... Some even theorize that MS's EULA gives them rights to your PC. I do however fully support the use of nLite and yes you can strip out the MCE components.
  5. Would you kindly post your config.js as an attachment and tell me if you modified any files?
  6. What the hell are you smokin? nLite will incorporate a $oem$ folder just fine. (Just do not select it for deletion during the remove components section) Just make sure "OEMPreInstall" is enabled in the unattended section. Then your $oem$ folders will be copied during setup. nLite is the easiest way to make the iso once it is finished making your disk. It fully optimizes your disk and automatically sets the boot sector.
  7. No .net is not needed for WPI. However it seems like you really borked your install somehow. Have you downloaded the full .net 3.5 and just gone ahead and installed it? (3.5 has all of .2, .3, .3.5 and all fixes for the 3...) The only real requirement for WPI is IE6 up to date. Not enough space to run WPI?? WPI isn't even configured to output that error.
  8. "{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}" These are usually randomly generated numbers...
  9. I googled the crap outta it too and checked my technet and msdn. None of it shows a "5511" build.
  10. Hehheheh now your hooked!
  11. TweakUI will let you at the least hide the drive..
  12. Actually the version of nero is very RELEVANT. Nero 7 really messed with the whole html engine and caused WPI to have all sorts of errors. What version of Internet explorer are you using?
  13. what is your motherboard model and the model of your dvd reader?
  14. Yes rear its head does mean something similiar to "show up". I have just migrated to Vista and apprecite this pack quite a bit thanks!
  15. Evil_vista huh? OK I will fix the main archive thanks for the heads up. Also I am very happy you like the new release! Ps to fix the theme good just delete lines 66-68 in the wpi.htm thats inside the theme folder...
  16. Did you nlite or xplite your install? Do you have Nero7 installed?
  17. I got my buttons in and there was LOTS of new graphics, plus quite a bit of tweaking and optimization! Please redownload!
  18. Hey i got an extra Promise ultra 100tx2 ide card on top of my monitor right now just pay me like 5 for the card and 5 for shipping and I'll send it to ya.. PM if you want it
  19. I'll be damned hfslip is smarter than I thought Bravo Good Job!
  20. of course deleting them first is ok you'll just end up with a couple megs less space.
  21. I will make it for you once SP3 is final... (I don't really feel like making it and then needing to make new ones in a week or two.)
  22. Delete them afterwards because a couple of fixes actually have files that go into those folders. I would however keep the "WINNTUPG" folder as that is the one you need for repair installations.
  23. I can't find one either. The only alternatives are to call Dell (Good luck getting them to help) or using Bashrats masstorage driver pack and hoping against all hope one of them works.
