  1. After reverting to WMP11slipstreamer v 0.991 intergeration worked. I would perfer to use newer version. Any help is appreciated. LES BUG Report WMP11Slipstreamer v1.2.0.0 Detected source: Windows™ XP Professional SP3 Hotfixes: KB941569.EXE KB911564.exe KB929773.exe KB932390.exe KB933547.exe KB935551.exe KB935552.exe KB936782.exe KB939683.exe System.NotSupportedException: The given path's format is not supported. at System.Security.Util.StringExpressionSet.CanonicalizePath(String path, Boolean needFullPath) at System.Security.Util.StringExpressionSet.CreateListFromExpressions(String[] str, Boolean needFullPath) at System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission.AddPathList(FileIOPermissionAccess access, AccessControlActions control, String[] pathListOrig, Boolean checkForDuplicates, Boolean needFullPath, Boolean copyPathList) at System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission..ctor(FileIOPermissionAccess access, String[] pathList, Boolean checkForDuplicates, Boolean needFullPath) at System.IO.File.InternalCopy(String sourceFileName, String destFileName, Boolean overwrite) at WMP11Slipstreamer.Backend.CompressFiles() at WMP11Slipstreamer.Backend.SlipstreamWMP11() at WMP11Slipstreamer.MainForm.WorkerMethod(Object workerParam) Deleting "C:\1nlite\XP_CD\i386\wmp11temp"... 2. Each month the new KB updates are added to a folder which is used to have nlite make a CD that is current. In researching my problem,I found there is KB 937143 and the KB 933566 which was obsoleted KB 937143. The intergeneration works correctly with both KBs and no known problems. I added the KB 942763 to the folder without deleting Kb 933360. This the new and the previous daylight time change updates. There were no indications of errors integrating these KBs. After the OS install with this updated CD. The system would not change to daylight saving time. The nlite can not integrate the two KBs correctly or ignore the obsoleted KB 933360 and just install the current KB 942763. The file C:\windows\system32\tzchange.exe was not installed. Unfortunately simply replacing this file did not fix the DST problem. Removing KB 933360 and then nlite can correctly incorporate the KB 942763. Then the DST time change works correctly. It is probably best to remove KB 928388 and KB 931836 which are older time change files. May this information be of help to someone.
  3. I believe that most security guides recomemend that HKU\.Default\Software\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\Root\ProtectedRoots have these permissions. Administrators-Full, System-Full, Users-read. As the system boots and WinDefender loads, I believe the MsMpENG.exe resets the permissions on this key to Everyone_Read, System-Full. Is there a method to change this behavior? I am using Windows XP pro that is updated through November 2007. By testing, I know the key permission is not reset on boot, if Windows Defender is not loaded on boot. The NSA Guide (C44-026-02) pg 71 (pdf pg 86)shows settings. NSA Guide Thank you.
  4. WMP11Slipstreamer V0.95 has performed flawlessly on previous uses. Last use approximately a week ago. this indicates that possibly a system change is the root of this problem. I have followed Belarc (CIS) security to increase system security. These changes are not causing any other known problems. This is the reported error can any one offer a possible solution. I would prefer to leave the system at the current security level if possible. Using Windows XP pro SP2. Any assistance with this is appreciated. Thank you.
