Could someone make a 7z version as I do not understand how to use the SFX method! Regards. Jeremy -

At the moment I am using the following line in my main.bat file iview399.exe /silent /desktop=1 /group=0 /allusers=1 /assoc=1 How do I need to change it for iview400_setup.exe so that it does NOT install Google Desktop Search? Regards. Jeremy

I remember asking about this quite a while ago....... Has anyone actually managed to get it to work? Help! Regards. Jeremy

Nero-6.6.0.18.exe now has the Yahoo! toolbar included. I do not want it! I am using the switch: start /wait %systemdrive%\Install\Nero-6.6.0.18.exe /silent /noreboot The install stops and asks me if I want to install the Yahoo! toolbar. How can I stop this? Cheers. Jeremy

No, the install is on a Sony desktop. It is strange it did not recognise the Nvidia graphics card... Probably some stupid custom card made by Nvidia just for Sony. The earlier system I had the error on WAS a laptop. A Toshiba laptop if I remember correctly. Cheers. Jeremy p.s. I have just sent you a donation for the driverpacks.

I managed to work around the problem by disabling the sound in the BIOS and then renabling the sound after Windows had installed. Here is the link for the Intel SoundMax drivers. http://www.vaio-link.com/downloads/info/in...led_Drivers.htm hwids.txt is also attached. It may be of interest that the Microsoft drivers for the Nvidia graphics card were installed instead of the later ones in the graphics driverpack. Cheers. Jeremy hwids.txt

As of today (21st October) I am using the latest driverpacks. I am still getting the portcls.sys error. Any idea when this will be resolved? Cheers. Jeremy

"A fixed, updated version will be put online tonight." Please enlighten me, which driverpack(s) have been updated? Cheers. Jeremy

Immediately after Windows XP has finished formatting and is about to start copying files I get this error message. presetup.cmd not found I am using method 2. The file presetup.cmd is NOT in my i386 folder. Neither is it in the UWXPCD_ROOT folder created by BTS_DPs_Slipstreamer_V510 Help!

Maybe deleting the OEM folder was not that good an idea! Seriously, it may be a good idea to mention that this folder must not be deleted in the batch file. Cheers. Jeremy I have just experienced this problem. Clean XP SP2, Latest RyanVM pack and ALL of the driverpacks using method 2. I checked that I am using all of the latest driverpacks and base today! Please advise! Cheers. Jeremy

Could you please check if the following files exist in your I386 directory: -aliide.sys; -mraid35x.sys; -nvraid.sys. All 3 files above are NOT present! I have attached the txtsetup.sif file. Cheers. Jeremy TXTSETUP.zip

I am not using a multiboot disk. I had a previous working install disk with only the mass storage, LAN and chipset drivers. I updated it with ALL of the drivers and burnt it to a DVD instead of a CD. I also use RyanVM hotfixes, but they have not been updated on this occasion. Any ideas why I am getting this strange error, aliide, sys not found? Would it be helpful if I uploaded my winnt.sif and dosnet files? Cheers. Jeremy

Has anyone else encountered this problem. aliide.sys not found before reaching the disk partition screen. Regards. Jeremy

I have always used the following entries in my regtweak file. (see the attachment) I am using XP Pro. What they did was to disable ALL screen visual effects except 'show window contents while dragging' and 'smooth edges of screen fonts'. Since I enabled the driverpacks, they have stopped working! Any ideas? Cheers. Jeremy regtweaks.reg

When I try to install Windows XP with the drivers integrated, the install gives an error before arriving at the disk partitioning screen. Explorer prompts for DEL, EXE and MOV of files.
Arablover replied to Arablover's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Maybe I am not making myself clear. I am not talking about deleting from DOS. This is within windows explorer. I want to disable all of these irritating messages. Cheers. Jeremy -

Slightly off topic............ Does anyone know the registry entry to automatically enable auto arrange on the desktop? Cheers. Jeremy -

RyanVM Windows XP SP2 Update Pack
Arablover replied to RyanVM's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Shutdown.exe has stopped working! Since I installed the RyanVM pack Shutdown.exe just throws up a list of its commands instead of shutting down after 2 minutes as it previously did. %systemdrive%\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe -r -t 120 -f -c "Windows XP will reboot in two minutes to finalise the installation process." Any ideas why this should be happening? Cheers. Jeremy -

Can someone post the 2 lines that go in my main.batch that copy the program and ini file into the system32 dir. The syntax eludes me. Cheers. Jeremy -
Some more questions, if you don't mind........... My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-8IK1100 which has a Intel 875P chipset. It has two SATA connectors which are controlled by an Intel ICH5R. They also have a RAID function which can be activated from the BIOS. The standard Intel application accelerator does NOT work with this chipset. There is however a Intel Application Accelerator - RAID Edition. Can I activate the RAID function in the BIOS and only use one SATA hard disk? Would this give me faster disk access then using the SATA with RAID disabled? Any idea why there is no Intel Application Accelerator for non RAID use? All I want is the fastest disk access possible from my computer. I have no need of the RAID redundancy. Please advise! Cheers. Jeremy

My unattended setup does NOT use cmdlines.txt! I cannot see any reference to it in winnt.sif either. Can I just create it or are there any other modifications necessary? Cheers. Jeremy
