  1. This was already solved ;)

the only thing i found was two switchless installers, but im trying to do it myself. no ofense mruiz but i have seen many post of different topics you saying this: "This was already solved ;)" i think comments like this makes the topics hard to read as many have several like this kind of posts. just a suggestion, no ofense.

if someone has the chance to customize the installer so it wont install the scsi service (wich i already did but havent tried on a clean install) please post. i want to know if this solves the new hardware wizard. thanks.

  2. i think thy can work from cmdlines.txt

i only use cmdlines.txt to run my runonceex file that installs everything. the suggestion about putting all of them in one folder of your choice is a good one. to register them, you have two options:

    1) using reg files, just modified the ones that come with the appz (to be sure, i will use "%systemroot%\YourFolder" in the path of the reg files.

    2) use cmd syntax Reg Add like MHz suggested.

i would use reg files as i prefer to only use dms files only when necessary (just my personal preference)

  3. I have the same problem with alcohol some suggest?,

to alcohol users: are you installing using the original msi? i have modified the setup to not install the scsi service as i dont need it.

im thinking that this is the new hardware window you are getting. try modifying the setup using Installer Design Studio, its easy. and please post if the new hardware... goes away without installing the scsi service.

  4. from the author:

Unless otherwise stated, each zip file linked contains an executable and two registry files to install/uninstall. (You will need to edit the install registry file with the correct path to the exe first for these to work)

i havent tested them yet but i think that you only need to copy the EXE file to any path you choose and then apply the reg file to register it. note: read that you need to edit the reg file to fill in your path.

i havent had the time to test my modified setup in a clean unattended dvd. i just test it from my current intallation and it worked great.

  6. 1) For Display Drivers: run the setup and it will extract them to C:\ATI. copy the 2kxp folder inside the display drivers and use this in winnt.sif file as explained in the guide.

    2) For the Control Center: extract it like display drivers. need to do an admin install point for control center. to do this, run setup.exe /A and then select where you want to store the files. after it finishes, copy the files in the path you selected and use ATICCC.msi /qn /norestart in runonceex to install it.

NOTE: before you install control center you need to install InstallScript Engine 9 from installshield (google it, as i dont remeber where i downloaded it) this file is also a msi file so use this switches /qn /norestart

this will install your display drivers and control center. tested up to 6.2 version. i already made a topic on this one. search for popular drivers/appz first.
