Slipstreaming is a no no error about only enterprize version can be slipstreamed or something like that.

so microsoft YOU SUCK a** lol

  3. AaronXP

i have a slight problem with my office xp.

for some reason it will not slipstream :)

i downloaded the sp2 administrator pack. I extracted it and went to slipstream it and a error came up saying something about you cant slipstream a enterprize build or something like that.

the build i have requires you to enter a serial on install.

problem is after its running it requires activated. i dont want to waste all my activations so im useing a crack at the moment now the sp2 works if i update from windows when its installed.

but then the crack does not work with sp2 :/ and i dont want to activate it

why isnt the slipstream working. :/

  4. what application is anyone using to put together the equivalent of a CD-Rom ISO image when trying to use a single bootable DVD that will silently install XP, Office XP and and all the other "neccesary" programs.....when making a slipstreamed version of XP Professional and Office XP I used blank CD-R discs and the WIN-ISO application to create the bootable ISO image... when trying to put all of this one DVD the limit of Win ISO is 700 megabytes...what am I missing? Putting these on a single bootable DVD is possible as it is mentioned on this website...but the directions as to how to do it...I can't seem to find...any help would be much appreciated.

Makeing a bootable dvd is easy.

    Use Nero burning rom

Select the DVD TAB and look for DVD-ROM Boot click it.

    -===============-

remember to rip out the bootable image useing isobuster from your winxp cdrom .

    the options are.

Select the boot.img you ripped with isobuster.

    click on enable advanced features.

Kind of emulation : NO EMULATION

    Boot Message : Nero Boot-Loader V6.0 (optional)

get the following 2 parts wrong and you have a coster.

Load Segment Of Sectors (Hex) : 07C0 (Zero, Seven, C for Cat, Zero)

Number of Loaded Sectors : 4

    ==========================================

    ok hope this helps.

  6. bonkers.

    it is persional.

over time when you get to be as old as me lol then you will call the new aspi drivers suck.

most people have problems stability ect with the new drivers.

but the old ones are indeed stable as hell.....

im just trying to get people to not go through my experiance with them, :)

  7. Bonkers[,Jul 30 2003, 03:44 AM]This is a little off topic, but I was looking at your file there and noticed something:

If OemPreinstall in the [unattended] section of Unattend.txt is set to Yes, unattended Setup automatically stops at the Welcome page. To avoid this pause in your factory or testing environment, set OEMSkipWelcome = 1."

Do they both do the same thing? (those are from the ref.chm file)

    this is my setup.

everything is automated apart from the start of the os install.

it will bting up the menu and allow you to choose the drive to install the os to.

or if its a formated disk it will ask you when you pick it if you want to format it to change the file system, to what ever you like Ntfs if you choose leave the file system alone and install it will be Fat32 instead.

    --------------------------------

or you can go the complicated way .

    AutoPartition=1 or 0

If you have the selection is 1 then Windows Setup will install the OS on any free partition that is available. If you remove this line or if you put AutoPartition=0 then setup will ask you on which partition you wish to install Windows onto and advises you what to do if your partition already contains an OS.

  9. where can i get this program from AaronXP ? and does it need registered to use.

im sick of switching from my main os onto a os on another partition to test installs :)

and how big is the file and what is the best.

it takes me about 30minutes to install xp on my 2200Xp thoroughbred overclocked.

  10. Audigy 2 drivers for the CD-ROM? huh...? Audigy 2 is a sound card... or were you calling the external audigy 2 device a CD-ROM?

Anyway, most drivers shouldn't really need the CD first before updating. See if the Soundblaster.com site has a latest copy of audigy drivers

i think i got my self muddled up lol

im not talking about cdrom hehe im talking about the original audigy cdrom disk not a actualy drive lol its a disk that goes in my drive :)

see i have the updated drivers i downloaded from the offical site but i cant install them becuse they require the original disk installed first then the updated drivers.

see im not to shure how to go about installing the original cdrom first with all the stuff like media go installed and the drivers ect.

then after that install the updated drivers.

im shure i read somewhere that you where working on the same thing.

  11. Very good idea, virus, all that stuff is cool, but some people (me for example  :)) don't install their programs in c:\program files.

--> Do you know a switch defining install path ??? (of course certainly different for differents installers)

    Example :

    Program Name : Daemon Tools

    Full : daemon.msi /QB /P=d:\soft\daemon

    Thanks in advance.

AaronXP knows more than me about this stuff

but i dont think you can define a path on silent installs thats why there silent lol

the programs will get installed into your default c:/program files on your pc or your default driver letter X/program files

or if your useing a diffrent laungage it will always go into your program files for that launguage of your os.

though its possible to change the path but i think that would screw witht he programs internals.

lets see what AaronXP has to say about this one. good luck.

    Second thoughts ...

you could try this though its me and my weird thinking but i dont think it will work lol

    start /b /wait %systemdrive%\Install\Daemontools\daemon.msi /QB "d:\soft"

if you have a d partition just for your appz then this should work.

if not wait for what aaronXP has to say. he knows more about it that me i have only been learning this stuff for 2 days.

  12. Its easy

    just do the following mate.

    ==================================

make a folder in your appz area call it anything you want i called mine Force-ASPI

then place the following files in there.

    HTML < Folder
    WIN9X <Folder
    WINNT < Folder
    FLEXION < File
    INDEX < html file
Install.bat < i renamed this it use to be called WINNT.bat lol

ok after you have done that edit the bat file and you should see this.

ok now in your main-batch.cmd or bat :D

    add the following.

  13. Ok I managed to find out where Windows set the driver signing policy option in the registry using an app called regmon.

    Use this registry key:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Driver Signing]
    "Policy"=hex:00

This will tell to ignore driver signing.

Ohh my god your a god lol :D

ok all problemo`s fixed now matey ... :)

    -----------------------------------------------------

oki i have a new one for ya though hehe :D i think you where working on this aswell.

    Audigy 2 drivers.

i have the original cdrom and updated drivers.

the updated drivers require the cdrom drivers installed first for some weird reason.

do ya have a fix ?

i want the drivers installed and the media sorce installed

how would i go about this. i read somewhere that you where trying to do the same thing did you manage to fix it ?

im creating a DVDR bootable so i have the space for the original cdrom of sound drivers hehe and some

  14. I 2nd that great work :)
