" I have had a seller be unable to send the Item had already paid for Via Paypal, they have always refunded the exact I even haved paid twice and it was reversed same amount. If it was Fruad they should be obligated to trace the $$$$$ or the de to the person. Delivery address of merch purchased or cash disbursements What was the reason that Ebay ended the auction what evidence did the have?

What size is the PST ? Do you have the same email account configured in the new Outlook? Go to Control Panel creat a New Profile and create a PST. I do not use Docs Setting\ Blah Blah may not be visable in recovery situation. ex: c:\data\Outlook\MyMail.pst Set as default, setup POP3 account info ect. Now open outlook, go to File Archive browse to C:\data\outlook\OldMail.pst close Outlook take a copy of your PST and replace the OldMail.pst Open it you can acces it you can now just drag it into the new default PST. have you tried to just open it with outlook using a good PST. does scanpst.exe seem to read it all ?

If you are running in a winPE environment why are you using 8/8.26 based version of Ghost? Thats the DOS Vesrion !!!!! If you have a Symantec Corporate Ghost Vesrion 8 it should come with Ghost32.exe thats the version made to run in WinPE. Ghost 9 is the PQ product with WinPE based Recovery Environment. Your problem sounds like it is being caused by the Ghost Environment. Try this get a bootable USB Flash drive and format with boot utility. Now use Ghost bootdisk Wizard to build your BootDisk for the hardware 'you need, I would also check for DOS drivers to add to it that will increase speed EX:IDE Drivers now copy to flash drive. Take your image and put on a 2nd HDD. Boot flash drive and run ghost now. Also run bechmarks in your PE environ. maybe because its a dvd-r it will not be that fast of a drive..... test a 2nd drive see above. This will make the Ghost version you are using the happiest! Print the HUGE pdf it comes with it has lots of info in it. Latley I have been using a Single copy of TImage 8 on a DESKTOP with a USB 2 Ext 300gig drive. I create the rescue media boot and image 2 and from ext usb HDD pretty quick. SkunkWerkz

Aspenjim, Sounds like a DC to DC controller may or maynot be on systemboard, the electonic switch is not sensing mode switch. My guess bios was coincedence. I assume you have emilnated BATTERY, AC Adapter ect? 2 choices 1) Find IBM reseller that does warranty work in your area and will work on Mobiles/ThinkPads, have them diagnose order part and let you bring back for 3-4 hour window when recvd to replace part and hand back to you. 2) Send thru EZ Serv while on vacation it is in Memphis TN where I am so my turn around is on 1-2 day when I deliver to solectron. For speed issue disable all Power MGT in bios and OS, of all else fails disable ACPI Skunk

MS Select/Corporate does not care about hardware changes it since does not use WPA. OEM is same as Retail it creates a signature of your hardware during install for Windows Product Activation. This will cause WinXP and OffXP/2003 to DEACTIVATE, if it senses a major hardware change, EX: Most depot repairs result in a System board change. Could be same result with a BIOS/Embedded Controller update "Usually required together. On a t41 that is 80-90 % of the hardware, or if you wanted to troubleshoot a problem and try the "OEM your way / Retail" build in another t41 you would get the same result. Basically You will NOT be able to install OEM and be able to make changes as above without issue as IBM is able too. Order the set for your PC find part# here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss...=MIGR-53121#eus You need to call support with a Drive Fitness Test error so CD can be ordered with replacement drive. Or if you have your platform for Corp set just use Rapid Recovery to image it and restore that image on similar machines and then change the SID.
-
Well if you are going to install it YOUR way with OEM media not MS Select plug in and setup/upgrade all the hardware during the install. Since you will be stuck with that hardware finger print. Do all BIOS and Embedded controller and Intel inf updates from IBM site during your primary install. This was not a guess I suport 500+ of these things T23,T30,T40,T41,T42 and T43's. But if you want to do it the hard way PS: I have Walnut Plaque from IBM that sayes I'm a Factory Certified Thinkpad GURU!!!!!!!!
-
You do not want to mess with your preload too much it is bios locked to machine to do the hardware signature . If you install OEM hardware changes may cuase it to deactivate. The preload will allow most normal harware changes without issue. You can call IBM and reguest a set of Recovery CD's they will restore the recovery partition where your XP source is stored. SkunkWerkz "Thinkpad GURU"

That really doesn't look like it should be that big I have been meaning to do one that's 210 for the mini cd. Best way is to get it up on a Torrent. SkunkWerkz

Easy Recovery Pro will work but you may loose all the directories it may put it in folders like Folder001, ECT. Spinrite 6 takes time works though. Try looking for Easy Recovery via older mirrors of FoSi. Try this: http://salvationdata.com/download.htm They say DEMO but read on the LEFT. I used an early version and was able to recover data with it. Check the MFG/Model info against yours on FIRMWARE fixers. Does Ghost see a DATA size? "use the Check disk option! "if so try to image it to a image file on another drive !!!!SET OPTION to ignore errors on source 1st !!!!!!!! Other Suggestion: Connect through USB2 Adapter WITH power not Internal IDE besure you know the real parameters of the drive as it was set working!! Or otherwise you will be in the "When Partition Magic Goes BAD Zone". If it is overheating keep motor off except when pulling data, wrap loosley with cool packs, Use RoadKills unstopable copier. and get it while you can.... it will just get worse!!!!!!! Does Ghost see a DATA size? "use the Check disk option! "if so try to image it to a image file on another drive!!!!!!!! Good Luck Plan your attack work fast and smart you only may have 1 chance to get it copied!!!! SkunkWerkZ
