  1. Having an issue installing this using the RunOnce method-heres the command I am using: REG ADD %KEY%\040 /VE /D "Nero 7.2.0.3b Ultra Edition" /f REG ADD %KEY%\040 /v 1 /D "%systemdrive%\apps\Nero7\Nero72.exe /VERYSILENT /TASKS="desktopicon,imagefile_assoc /COMPONENTS="nero_core,nero_toolkit\nero_drivespeed,nero_core\nero_express,nero_waveedit REG ADD %KEY%\040 /V 2 /D "REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%\Apps\Nero7\neroserial.reg" /f After im up into windows theres no sign of it anywhere. Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated
  2. Dunno about your issue, however I would suggest just installing 7.0 lite (no bloatware and works flawless)from this thread.... http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=69886
  3. this is odd-I have the same issue, strange thing is, on some machines the google toolbar doesnt pop up, but I've had 2 machines where it does-anyone have any ideas? Thanks
  4. Switch for Windows Desktop Search without toolbar: REG ADD %KEY%\031 /VE /D "Windows Desktop Search" /f REG ADD %KEY%\031 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\apps\DesktopSearch\desktopsearch.exe /q /norestart
  5. Okay, I think I've got it... Apparently copy wasn't creating the directory structure properly so I first moved the DAT file to Application Data, then created the subdirs, then moved the DAT file to Product Licenses. cmdow @ /HID @echo off regedit /S alreadyregged.reg msiexec /i "Adobe Photoshop CS2.msi" /qb UNITYSELECTION="RETAIL" SERIALNUMBERTEMP="XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" msiexec /i "bridge\Adobe Bridge 1.0.msi" /qb msiexec /i "commonfilesinstaller\Adobe Common File Installer.msi" /qb msiexec /i "help center\Adobe Help Center 1.0.msi" /qb copy B2B86000.dat "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data" cd "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data" mkdir "Adobe Systems\Product Licenses" move B2B86000.dat "Adobe Systems\Product Licenses" exit Anyone know why I get the following error during the runonceex portion of setup: "this installation package could not be opened.verify that the package exists and that you can access it"
  6. my $OEM$ folder is alongside the i386 folder, now one thing I did not do is put the winnt.sif file in the fix folder, i left it in the i386 folder, I created the iso and installed it on a virtual machine like i always do, and thats when the problem starts, is it because i left my winnt.sif file in the i386 folder? should i remove the winnt.sif from the i386 folder and move it to the fix folder then run the script again? Thats the only thing I can think of. If it helps, before I did anything with the hfslip I was able to make my unattend disk with no problem, so before doing the hfslip process, I made an exact backup of my c:\xpcd folder (so now i have 2 xpcd folders) I made an iso of both BEFORE trying the hfslip and both installed fine, then i did the hfslip on one of the xpcd's and it doesnt work (but I still have my original xpcd backup which i tested again and works fine) Sorry this is so long and I hope it helps
  7. oh, sorry ok, my runonceex.cmd file is in my $OEM$ folder which is started by the cmdlines.txt files (which also resides in the $OEM$ folder, my install programs are in the c:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\apps folder-hope this helps-and i appreciate your assistance
  8. hmm-tried that-it starts the install but not silently
  9. On my first unattended cd, I was able to silently install google toolbar using the /q /d switches in my runonce, but all of a sudden those switches dont work-even if i try to install it from a command prompt it wont install silently, if i go to a command prompt and type googletoolbarinstaller.exe, then the install will start but not silently of course-does anyone have an idea if I have to use a different switch? Any help would be appreciated
  10. I made a disk a few months ago with sp2 slipstreamed, added my apps, created my runonce which installed my apps, but i did not have the updates slipstreamed, thats when i started making my new disk with my current apps and i tried slipstreaming the updates using the hfslip method-I hope this answers your question
  11. HFSLIP.zipGood point...here's the error report and wu.txt file-I hope its something simple
  12. Hi all, I slipstreamed all the windows updates via hfslip but I have a problem; everything goes fine as far as installing windows and the gui install, but after the gui setup completes and the system restarts, I see the Windows XP splash screen like normal, then it fades to black and all I get is a black screen-anyone have any ideas? It should start installing my programs from my runonceex but all I get is a black screen; my unattend disk worked fine until I tried slipping the updates-I hope someone can help-thanks
  13. Anyone know how to get Pest Patrol 5 to silent install? Any help would be appreciated-thanks
  14. Anyone know the registry hack for creating a new toolbar and placing it at the top of the desktop? Any help would be appreciated
  15. OK guys-I fixed it-I ended up having to enter this to get it to install: REG ADD %KEY%\028 /VE /D "MSN Messenger 7" /f %systemdrive%\apps\msn\MsnMsgs.msi IAGREE="Yes" ADDEXPLORERTOOLBAR="" SETSEARCHENGINE="" SETHOMEPAGE="" /QB" Can someone tell me why it only works this way? If I add the REG ADD %KEY%\026 /v 1 /D command in front it will not install!
