RyanVM Integrator and similar tools (like HFSLIP) are community-made and safe to use if you’re integrating official hotfixes you’ve downloaded yourself. Microsoft ended support for SP2 in 2010, but SP3 updates drift boss (and some Server 2003 updates) can still be integrated if you want a more secure and functional retro XP machine.

It is possible to manually strip out a corrupted nLite add-on by editing SVCPACK.INF, txtsetup.sif, dosnet.inf, and deleting its files, but it’s fiddly and prone to leaving ghosts. Most people just revert to a clean source and rebuild.
