Update v5 was Windows XP exclusive and only around from mid 2004 till mid 2006. Update v6 quickly replaced it because of the new Microsoft Update wich could not only update Windows, but also Microsoft Office, SQL Server and other Microsoft products. V6 was not more than v5 with some UI tweaks and the ability to use Microsoft Update. V6 has support for Windows 2000 SP3 or newer, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.

That's what i want to say

I have found that it makes no difference if the js folder is not present in Shared, the page is still accessible, with the same error. (in WUv4) Maybe .js files are missing.:dubbio:

Since v5 has same engine in v6, u could copied from v6

Windows Update v5 was never supported on any 9x Version. Here is a small overview.

Here the list is not displayed, but you can see how many updates are available. I think that they are Xp updates. The updates that are shown in W2k are current.

Is it the real current updates? Does the updates displayed in Vista? Are the updates static? I really want to see it in Vista!

    Hello all.
Today, with a lot of effort, I managed to get WUv5 to check for updates. Unfortunately, it looks like some files need to be renamed and assigned. This is currently only a test. This time I did not download the files with the wayback machine downloader, but I bought the files from a website. Have a look for yourselves:

I decided to do it same as v3, but it is paid version. Also, where do u find the site to download? It is free?

Yes, I think it needs to be added in the Web.config in IIS. Unfortunately, I don't know how. It is already there in the files of WU.

    a bit edit will work

It's the query string and it looks like it would be a lot of work to add that.

    it's not a lot, only the web.config

  6. So, back in Windows 8's days that people hates it but I saw some 8's leftover is SkyDrive. After 1 year of M$ build 8.1, I upgraded to 8.1 and I see SkyDrive being OneDrive and what happened to SkyDrive? Is it end of support? Or M$ try to replace SkyDrive to OneDrive?
