Within the last few months we have seen the biggest decrease and corporate self destruction I at least have ever seen. Reddit and Twitter, both competing to see who can destroy their platform the fastest!

Kinda makes me think after this that even after how advertisers are leaving both platforms, and especially how Microsoft has stopped making major posts (mostly Mojang), brings up the interesting thought that smaller more focused content forums like MSFN and other ones like Planet Minecraft and TenForums may actually grow in popularity once more, especially with Reddit now having upset their user base to no end.

Really unfortunate. Now a good amount of my google term + Reddit searches won't be as useful anymore. Really unfortunate though because you can't really tell if the news you are reading is even real or not. Guess everyones back to the smaller places again. The internet honestly, has never felt more emptier to me. I've stopped using Twitter, Reddit, Instagram and Snapchat. Probably for the best, though. I still communicate on Discord.

    Truly hilarious.

im actually a member on planet minecraft and recently they seem to be going thru a shrinking problem as of the past 3 years

@legacyfan Personally, I've never heard of a word in my life called shakey, only shaky. Also, what's wrong with Windows 11 currently? I mean, what are your complaints now about Windows 11? It's currently at a good status, now that 2 years have passed. I'm currently at the Insider Canary Channel, so I get to know what's being baked very early. Also, in my opinion, you shouldn't be concerned about Windows as a user who loves Linux very much, and uses it.

Yes, I know about MS's cloud storage, called OneDrive (which filled my desktop with trash many times, but I was still able to get rid of OneDrive nonetheless), and MS's enforced web browser, which has been shoved to our thorats since its release date, called Edge, I was able to get rid of it as well.

its all the little annoyances like the new start menu windows copilot being a thing now plus many others im just not a windows fanboy in general anymore

Wow, I didn't know they were still making DVDs in 2019! Unbelievable! How's the quality? American NTSC DVD 480p screen res. height standard seems so low these days.

European PAL DVD standard is higher (576p), though I think not enough these days.

dvds are pretty old but do still have there uses today as some old classic movies like universal horror movies can only be watched thru dvd methods pretty much

Bet they wouldn't like Linux either (or some other Unix-like OS). But what else is there?

I know, throwing the computer out the window!

that would just make the problem worse and cause more e-waste everywhere using linux would be the better as well as greener choice

I haven’t seen Wonka, but I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed it! I believe you are younger than most of us here at MSFN, and I’d like to hear what you thought of Wonka’s young star, Timothée Chalamet? One member seems to believe he is “weak” and untalented. I will concede that he looks rather young to become the Emperor of the Universe (which is where the Dune films are headed), but he is certainly the reigning king of the box office right now thanks to young moviegoers. As was first pointed out by Denis Kimathi of Collider and repeated in numerous other articles, Chalamet has broken a box office record that was previously held by John Travolta by starring in two top-grossing films in less than 8 months:

ive not seen any of the dune movies but his acting in the wonka movie was pretty close to gene wilder in terms of acting and the songs in it are really well done homages to the original movies songs plus multiple references to the older wonka movies as well overall its a really well created tribute to the legacy of the wonka franchises

Must have been 9 years since I was in the cinema last time. Seems too much bother these days, I resort to torrents at the odd time I feel like watching a movie. The list from recent years is short, I watched The Matrix Resurrections (2021) in 2022, Storm of the Century (1999) in 2020, The Matrix trilogy (1999, 2003), Idiocracy (2006) and A Quiet Place (2018) in 2019.

There are 2 quizzes and 1 satire on local TV channels that I do watch on the more regular basis though.

ive been to the movies like 5 times my entire life pretty much and have seen some pretty good movies as well

Assuming “lotr” means Lord of the Rings, I absolutely agree with you! I generally like science fiction more than fantasy, but LOTR was my favorite fantasy series, both the books by J.R.R. Tolkien and the Peter Jackson films.

I felt I was too old to read Harry Potter books when they appeared, but I think I have seen all the films. I wish someone who loved those books would comment on whether the films were good adaptations.

ive watched the harry potter movies and there good but not my.most favorite ones to watch
