  1. hi there, You should look at http://www.opendns.org
  2. Hi all I'm hoping someone may be able to help me here. I have an external application that resides on a hosted web server. The URL is something like this HTTP://123.456.789.0/application I basically want staff to be able to type is "application.company.com" in to internet explorer and get directed to the hosted app. The internal domain is company.com so application.company.com doesn't resolve to the hosted app itself. It just resolves to the IP address of the hosted server if you catch my drift. I've tried using a CNAME record to redirect this but it hasn't worked. I'm using WIn2k3 DNS and ISA2000 as my proxy server. Thanks Mark
  3. Hi there I am having the same issue with OFS and slow WAN links. I've tried site GPOs also to no avail. DFS is an option however, any new files (especially) large ones added to the root will result in replication and this will slow up OFS just as much. I'm currently testing disabling SMB (Server Message Block on the default Domain GPO. MS have stated that this should improve this issue. Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options I'll let you know how I go Mark
  4. Hi Fencer I'm actually using v 1.09. I will pop WatchDriverSigning Policy.exe into the D folder anyway just in case for the purposes of the build. I'm just about to start re-imaging now so I'll let you know how I get on. Edit* The image is finished however, it didn't install any of the drivers for any device *Edit The last entries in my log file are: C:\RIS\RIS_Install\OEM\DriverPack_Chipset_V601.7z C:\RIS\RIS_Install\OEM\DriverPack_CPU_V506.7z C:\RIS\RIS_Install\OEM\DriverPack_Graphics_A_V6011.7z C:\RIS\RIS_Install\OEM\DriverPack_Graphics_B_V5111.7z C:\RIS\RIS_Install\OEM\DriverPack_LAN_V602.7z C:\RIS\RIS_Install\OEM\DriverPack_WLAN_V601.7z 1 file(s) copied. 1 file(s) copied. Either way, I'll run it again from fresh and post the complete log file. Thanks Mark
  5. Hi Fencer I have a quick question, perhaps I'm doing something wrong. At the end of BTS Slipstreaming, I receive the following Performing post-integration processing on RIS file set... The system cannot find the file specified. The system cannot find the file specified. Done RIS integration is complete! You may now: 1. Copy the D:\RISULT\RIS_Install\i386 folder back over to the RIS server .....etc I am using Windows Server 2003 and a vanilla install everytime. I am using the latest versions of Ryan VM's patches an d integrator. They integrate fine. I am also using v6.02 of BTS Driverpacks. In the $OEM$ folder I have the following folders and files in the $1 folder. I have the D folder which contains the following: BTS_DPs_cleanup BTS_DPs_finish SetDevicePath I have all the driverpacks in 7z format in the $1 folder itself. Is all this ok? I am performing a re-image as we speak, I'll let you know how I go. Great stuff by the way, the hard work is appreciated!! Mark

  8. Hi all I have a query that I hope somone can help with. Within the WAN I maintain, there are multiple subnets i.e. 192.168.1.X ...... 192.168.2.X I would like to know is it possible to have the script I use when my unattended WinXp installation is finished to look at what subnet its on and call on a script to install the software from a specific location. i.e. If subnet=192.168.2.X then run InstallA.bat, if subnet=192.168.3.X then run InstallB.bat and so on. Any ideas or help greatly appreciated. Thanks Rathcoffey
