  1. So I saw a post here about "What are you listening to?" which was about music. I decided to make one of the similar topic, but about TV shows / movies. So, what have you been watching lately? I'm currently watching through Rick and Morty for the first time. Funniest thing I have seen. I know there is a topic of this from 2012, but considering how old it is, better off to start off a new one I guess.
  2. Well I thought updating it to the latest would help.
  3. I use a gigabit network switch from 2007. As well as that, a breaker box from 1969. Software wise fully, the oldest game I play is probably The Sims 3, and Portal. Non-gaming wise, I never update my software, so the oldest software that I use a lot is Windows Explorer. 6.1.7601
  4. Fixed the issue by disabling aero transparency, but still using aero.
  5. I've talked about this before but its never been this bad. I love the aero theme on Windows 7 and its great, but when im playing games my framerate gets really unstable. More specifically, the game says its running at 60FPS, but in reality it looks like 25. It then keeps bouncing between 30 and 60 back and forth randomly. Is this due to 3 monitors, drivers, or something else? I love Windows 7 and this is the only thing that really pushes me into using Windows 10 again. GTX 1050 Ti, nvidia 461.72
  6. So I know that this forum existed from around when XP was the latest. It still exists obviously. But for those who have used it for a while (6+ years) what was it like when each version was released? How were the reactions on this forum? Did people have any hate towards the latest (example, 7) back then same as the 10 hate? I haven't been around long enough to know, plus my memory goes back as far as 2014. Any farther and its just a blur. What was it like anyways when XP, Vista, 7, 8, or 10 was the latest?
  7. Okay so I am still having acpi errors even after booting it with the modded acpi.sys. I'm not really sure what else I should do here
  8. Okay so I decided to try installing 2000 in a VM on this HDD to at least get past setup. After that, I'll see if it can boot and when it can I will get a list of devices that are missing. Does SDI work on 2k?
  9. The thing is XP had the USB and the HDD drivers built in. Plus, im not really sure how to integrate the extended core into it. Is it just like another update I would add for nLite?
  10. So I am setting up a legacy Windows laptop (going to have a triple boot of 2K, XP, and Vista). I already got XP and Vista installed with all drivers, but installing 2000 the same way I keep getting frozen on "Setup is starting Windows 2000" and when disabling ACPI i get a BSOD of 7B. I am trying to install from USB because this computer doesn't have a working disc drive anymore. The only one I have is a USB disc drive. I already used nLite to integrate all the updates. I am not sure what drivers I am going to find to get ACPI working and USB drivers in the text setup. I'm not that advanced in the 2000 department More specifically, I do have IDE enabled in the BIOS and USB Legacy enabled. USB 3.0 is turned off. The specs are: Toshiba Satellite R945-P440 8GB DDR3 Intel Core i5 3210M
  11. Could be, but even after a direct copy from my desktop to the local machine, something breaks it. I'm wondering if there is some kind of file permission error somehow causing it to work.
  12. Possibly, could be the same for the Unreal game (A Hat in Time) Does anyone know why this works??
  13. Alright, I'm in a certain situation here. Playing the games locally on the machine using it's steam will result in crashes in almost every game. Playing the game over an SMB share of my Windows 7 desktop's steam library does not result in this. Trying this method caused Terraria to start working.
  14. I would assume that something that does what MS says it does (Get display information) would be a suitable replacement. Seems like this call is pretty important for the program to even run. The Among Us error may be something with Unity... but Unity on Oxygen Not Included runs and launches fine. I can say that the latest version of osu! runs fine. Only needs .NET 4.0 minimum. Correction: I have no idea what I did the first time, but all the Unity based games aren't loading anymore. They loaded before!!!
  15. Have not tried it in that mode. But other than that, Wallpaper Engine now has that last DisplayConfigGetDeviceInfo error. I would assume it may be just some information polling of the display / GPU?
  16. Replaced that and it brought me to an error saying "Failed to load il2cpp" Currently, our dependency problems are: SetThreadErrorMode DisplayConfigGetDeviceInfo Any idea where these can go?
  17. Made a comment over here about game support and was wondering the best way to fix these issues for people who are looking for a fix.
  18. I went through my Steam library to find out what games work, what don't. Tried this on VMWare so they may all not work. (BEFORE EX KERNEL) Among Us: GetLogicalProcessorInformationEx could not be located in Kernel32.DLL. May be a 32 bit issue. BeamNG: PowerClearRequest could not be located in Kernel32.DLL. Not a 32 bit issue. Cities:Skylines: Launched then closed. No logs. Not a 32 bit issue. Game Dev Tycoon: Works Garrys Mod: TryAcquireSRWLockExclusive not found in kernel32.dll. Possibly a 32 bit issue. GeometryDash: App failed to init properly (0xc0150002) A Hat in Time: Loads but stops working when loading saves Kerbal Space Program: Failed to load mono OxygenNotIncluded: GetLogicalProcessorInformationEx not found in KERNEL32.DLL Phasmophobia: GetLogicalProcessorInformationEx not found in KERNEL32.DLL Terraria: Terraria has stopped working Wallpaper Engine: SetThreadErrorMode was not found in KERNEL32.DLL, there is a 64 bit version which has same error (AFTER EX KERNEL ON REAL PC) Among Us: Same error, 32 bit issue BeamNG: Launches but black screen Cities:Skylines: Same problem Garrys Mod: Works GeometryDash: Same error A Hat in Time: Kerbal Space Program: Works Oxygen Not Included: Closes after Klei logo Phasmophobia: Works Wallpaper Engine: Said that 7+ was recommended, still let me run. Then we got DisplayConfigGetDeviceINfo could not be located in USER32.DLL
  19. You can only enable it on 1507 and 1511. 1607 removed it.
  20. Also, I think you can add this feature back when you enable the win32 calendar in the settings. Ill test and see if it does.
  21. Late. Came across a HAM Radio receiver and wanted to check it out and hear some. Couldn't hear anything local near me. Only thing I have a chance at hearing is the ISS. HAM Radio doesn't seem as popular as it used to be.
  22. They could also not be finalized yet, could just be a development scheme.
  23. I would assume that the more angry beeps are for critical error. Anything else I would put in asterisk and exclamation. Those two use Windows Background on 10, while critical error uses Windows Foreground.
