About Me

TECHGEEK is now @Win10-Hater

My PC's:

Main laptop: Dell Latitude e5420, Intel Core i5-2520m (2.5 GHz, max turbo at 3.2 GHz, 2 cores 4 threads), 8 GB DDR3-1333 MHz RAM, Intel HD Graphics 3000, Kingston A400 480GB SSD, Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 build 6003

Secondary desktop (sold): Pre-assembled desktop, Intel Pentium D 915 (2.8 GHz, 2 cores 2 threads), 3 GB DDR2-800 MHz RAM, Seagate 160GB 5400rpm HDD, Windows Vista Business SP2 x64 build 6003, planning to replace with:

Custom built desktop: Intel Xeon e5-2650 v2 (Ivy Bridge, 8 cores 16 threads), 24 GB DDR3-1600 MHz RAM, Crucial BX500 120GB SSD (boot drive) + some 1TB SSD (storage drive), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4 GB GPU (might also do a dual GPU setup with 2 4GB GTX 960s for a total of 8 GB VRAM), Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 build 6003

Secondary laptop: Dell Inspiron 15 3567, Intel Core i3-6006u (2.0 GHz, 2 cores 4 threads), 4 GB DDR4-2400 MHz RAM, Intel UHD Graphics 520, Toshiba 1TB 5400rpm HDD, Windows 8.1 Pro x64 build 9600 (gonna upgrade to an i5 6200u or 7200u by replacing chipset and install 8 GB DDR4-2400 MHz RAM and a 120GB Adata SSD as boot drive and keep the Toshiba HDD as storage drive)

Tertiary laptop: some cheap Apple MacBook clone, Intel Pentium n4200 (1.1 GHz, 4 cores 4 threads), 4 GB DDR3-1600 MHz RAM, Intel HD Graphics 505, SanDisk 32GB eMMC SSD, Windows 8.0 Pro x64 build 9200 (I somehow got this to work)
