      After hard work testing all updates on Windows Vista; I finally managed to make the Extended Kernel of March 2023 revision 1 work with the Windows Vista esu! Several updates are problematic: KB5003210, KB4580385 are most responsible as well as superseded 2022 updates. Cumulative updates are also to be banned. The solution is: to remove all the 2022 updates that have been installed on the system and to install only the non-superseded updates which are security only, and to remove the two updates KB5003210, KB4580385 Then, we can install the extended kernel without having any problem!

      I just tested with the 2017 updates without the esus and the extended kernel works, therefore this means that the extended kernel of March is not compatible with the esu of Windows Vista, so I stay on that of October 2022.

      I have absolutely all updates, and yes I just checked I have your KBs that you just listed. Every month, I install esu updates and everything works so I don't understand why on this March extended kernel, nothing works.

      I have a GTX 750 TI so I can use an old driver and it works fine.  the problems I have with the March heard kernel are not due to my graphics card because on a virtual machine the problem is the same.

    I'm a Windows Vista user but I'm having 1 problem right now. My Computer restarts on its own, I'm on the Extended Kernel of October 2022 and all the updates. I tried to change machine and I have the same problem. The message is in the event viewer: the system shutdown preceding ... Was not planned. I really don't want to upgrade to Windows 7 Thank you very much for your Extended Kernel, thanks to You my Youtube Channel is full of Windows Vista and I do my best to bring the French an up-to-date Windows Vista.

      I reinstalled it and I took the opportunity to do a RAID0 to optimize my Vista performance because I am in SATA2 On my other PC I had the same problem of Vista restarting it was on my Dell Precision T3500. But for the moment nothing to report on my T5500.

      when I use the system, once started, it can go for hours without any worries but every time I am not in front of the pc it restarts and I hear the startup sound. I can't hear Vista shutting down so I think it must bluescreen. I have also deactivated the extinction of the screens, the screen saver and the stop of the hard disks. But unfortunately this problem happens about every 3/4 days.
