, for me the problem is different with "Ctrl-shift-J". in the latest New moon 28, it opens the console correctly, then I can close it again, but if I want to open it again it doesn't work, the keyboard shortcut "ctrl-shift-J". and the console function in the drop-down menu has no effect either. In short, I can't open the console twice in the same New moon session. I don't have the problem reported by "AstroSkipper". with console opening and closing. For other functions in the "web developer" drop-down menu it works normally. There's only "Ctrl-shift-j". which poses a problem.

There is a problem with serpent 52 and its "reader view" function which is located in the address bar, the text is not displayed in full. It works perfectly on serpent 55 without problem where it displays the entire page.
to test on the forum page, it will only display the first post, and the problem is on all online newspapers where it only displays the beginning of the text.
can we solve this problem?

"Jet audio 8.1.10 basic" has the integrated jet video module in its program which means that you can play the videos in jet audio...so no need to install jet video which doesn't add anything extra by an additional video converter .

It's been a very long time, more than 15 years since I installed "jet audio" basic then upgraded VX... and I installed regular updates up to 8.1.10.22000.
For me it is one of the best audio-video players that still works on XP2.

For xp, lav 78 does not optimize hardware acceleration because it only manages dxva2 (D3d11). Mpc-hc for xp needs dxva1 for hardware support. The solution is to find an external dxva1 filter so that the GPU of my old ATI card works fully in hardware support, which results in leaving the CPU free when viewing.
for the youtube mp4 1080 stream and other videos I use the external dxva filter installed by the "jetaudio" software on mpc-hc 2.1.2.18 by adjusting the expert parameters "YDLMaxHeight" 1080 and "YDLVideoFormat" 1

In New Moon you can use the "Open With" extension (direct link) to download videos or audio straight from the browsers right click menu:
I prefer "mpv-youtube-dl-binding" and "youtube-dl-gui-0.4-win-portable"...
there are too many errors with "Open with" on a new profile of newmoon 28

"yt-dlp_x86_XP" by changing the name of "yt-dlp" to "Youtube-dl.exe"
it works well with windows XP x86 sp2...
I use MPV from 10.2015 which works with the "mpv-youtube-dl-binding" plug-in on Newmoon 28/52. The external mpv player is triggered well after ~ 10 seconds on youtube or "piped.video" or even "vid. puffyan.us" without problem, but causes an error (failure) when I use the "youtube-dl-gui-0.4-win-portable" software to DL a youtube video. this one works perfectly on xp x86 sp2 with "mpv 10.2015" and the plug in "mpv-youtube-dl-binding" it works very well also with "youtube-dl-gui-0.4-win-portable" without any error.there is only one problem is that it takes ~20 seconds on my system to open the MPV window, i.e. double the time of the "yt-dlp_XP" version

information: "Youtube redux 3.0.0" which uses Google's "manifest V3" refuses to install on all versions of chrome v86 and dcBrowser... but it works on Edge with Windows 10
This promises us a serious headache... with Manifest V3 and plug-ins for Chrome 86

UCyborg, Thanks for chrome.dll, it lowered the memory by 3 Mb, and it also solved the problem of the two orange addresses below with their disappearance.

I think you mean a browser started with one empty tab only. Anyway! The RAM consumption in Windows XP with only one empty tab opened and only one extension (uBlock Origin) installed are:

Personally I have no problem with 360chrome V13.5.2022. I use a PC that is 18 years old, with Windows XP2 x86 with a pentium 4 at 3Ghz and 2GB of memory and an AGP Ati Radeon 4650 graphics card, and it works properly without ever bsod problem with the use of Chrome V13.5.2022.
Unlike Newmoon and serpent ,chrome13.5.2022 does not use hardware acceleration for videos,.but I fixed the problem with the add-on "youtube redux" and "Viewtube" which runs Vlc in integration in youtube.
a big thank you for their provision of XP browser allowing us to use our old machines.
NotHereToPlayGames and Humming Owl: personally you have all my gratitude.

I use the latest version of Newmon 28 and Serpent 52/55 with a new profile with no add-on, with the "user agent mode", native, gecko, firefox", and the page is always blank on Dropbox.
Strangely, that works on "iceape-upx" without problem.

The Dropbox page is displayed on Firefox 52 but refuses the download of all your versions...

Roytam1, I would like to watch "youtube" on "this clone" which is faster for xp with a P4, but it causes problems with the video player which displays badly on New moon 28 and serpent 52, for serpent 55, it does not work at all.
Can this problem be solved?
This works on 360chrome 13.0.0 but not on the 12

Mpc-hc2.1.7.2 works very well on xp sp2 but it produces empty "evb*.tmp" type parasite files each time we launch the "Mpc-hc" prg. The files are located in the "temp" folder which is located in ":\Documents and Settings\.....\Local Settings\temp" of Windows, and we have to delete them regularly. this did not exist in the "Mpc-hc2.1.2" version...
