Hello guys. New Moon 27 is now not supported\compiled anymore? I don't update it almost a year on my old PC, and now go to roytam1 blog for fresh version and don't see it. Only NM28. Yes i can use nm28, but in some case nm 27 maybe little bit faster in my old pc(Pentium III-M). So don't any update for NM27 in future?

that is sad, i know that this old mpv is not better choice for dash, but ask maybe the are some life-hack or trick to make it works. Old mpv is not best player for functionality, but its have good performance so i use it for most heavy file. There is one more good player for old xp system that have good performance and much more better functionality than mpv, its call Qmplay2 its my favorite player, but its old xp version has same problem with DASH like mpv. I write to git issue to request author update it but he do not interest of it at this time. So i try find some way to make it (Great again ) work with youtube-dl with video hither than 360p. I have problem with DASH even with my modern version of mpv and yt-dlp. But with some troubleshooting i make it work with this mpv.conf ytdl-format="bv*[height=1080]+ba/bv*[height<=720]+ba" --ytdl-raw-options=merge-output-format=mkv Yes i use it as main for now, how i said in previous post i use 2.3.1 version of 3DYD Youtube Source, its very good software, but i cant get any answer or support from it author, i write him email many time, to tell him about back support for win xp, but he didn't answer. MPC is not so bad choice for watch video, but as i said mpv and Qmplay2 has better performance so if i can choice i choice it.

@nicolaasjan Thanks, i just forgot about config file. Its works Maybe you can help me with one more thing. With mpv or other player that can work with youtube-dl its only 360p can be playable, because only this format is not split for video and audio, all other is in dash container separate video and audio. The are any way to config or fix this dash problem for youtube-dl and player like mpv? I try gpt to help me with this, he send me config for mpv ytdl-format="bv*[vcodec=vp9][height<=480]+ba/b[height<=480]" but when i try it mpv is just open wait and close. I have ffmpeg in same folder, with download dash video i have not any problem, but for play it from link only 360p.

The are any way to add this user agent directly in youtube-dl with out put it manually in cmd, for example i use some software to automatize process, like send youtube link from browser extension to mpv or qmplay2 they run youtube-dl to play video. So any way make it work?

I use your build as my main, and nightly builds as backup option. But as you know its outdated and have error 403, so i try find alternative and find this fork https://github.com/ytdl-patched/youtube-dl its update under 9 hours ago, so i think may be it have fix, but its have same problem as well. p.s I find way to build youtube-dl.exe from source(with help from gpt), and try this fork https://github.com/ytdl-patched/youtube-dl but as you said its not worth it, have same errors and its don't work. Building is easy, you just need python install, download source from git and enter some commands in cmd, but in practice i have many issues with pip commands. Yes, dlp work fine. But my main (fetish) old PC for YouTube is Pentium III and only way watch is youtube-dl. So wait for fix...

Hello guys, i find some solution how watch youtube in old pc like Pentium III or Pentim M/4 or Athlon xp. Web version of YT is very HEAVY for watch video in web in old machines like Pentium3 or Athlon xp. so The best way is use youtube web site only for aggregation of content and watch video on external player, like mpv or mpc with youtube-dl. Many of you knows this method. But if it need i can create some FAQ. This method work just fine, but youtube web version is to Fat and be more and more heavy to work on our old PC. Its load very cranky. So i find another solution like alternative-front-ends site of youtube. The best is PipedTube its work very good, load fast on old machines, video work not so bad i think, you can change video codecs vp9/h264, no ads, and many anthers setting. Best chose i think. And what is good with this site work external player so you can use PipedTube site for aggregate content and play it in external player for best performance in old machines. For best and user-friendly usage to send youtube link just from one click of browser to media player i use firefox\newMoon extension YouTube 2 Player, its work just fine, you can add any of external player you want, but its not work in front ends site like Piped. So it be great if some one who know about mozila extension xpi can update this extension YT2P to work with all site not just on yotube.com, and we can play yotube easy as well. Ps. I know about extension like send to mpv, yes its work fine, but it just form mpv, and if you want use other player one click to play, you cant use it so easy. But after you post clear both browsers NM27 and FF. Lol it's even upgrade card in first time i test vs GF2 m400 and hope to see any speed ups)) (i know that required dx9 card, but hope do some test mb even GF2 work) Luckily i have GF 6800 and now test with it and install Forceware 81.98 driver like you say. Test stock browser NM and FF vs Patched. Patched version of both is real smoother and faster. Thanks.

Hello, first thanks for developer of this patch, its very good that some one do optimization stuff for old (and cool) machines. And now the issue)) How i can test performance and speed up of this patch in system without placebo effect ? I have P3 tualatin 1400@1600mhz 512mb ram and GF 5900xt card OS windows xp3 pro Sp3. And i don't see any different bitwine stok, mb little bit smoother. Maybe i dont intall it right i dont know( i just copy file in directory show on screen). Test in new moon 27 and firefox 45 esr. And i install all extension that recommended in first post.

I test pushbullet-316-an+fx.xpi its work fine in 38esr firefox, i download it from first post, unfortunately its doesnt normally work in NM 27 like you say (and like i say to =) ), but in my opinion its even good, because i can use web Push when i need it, and its dont take system resource of my poor Pentium III )
