Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this.
I have Microsoft Encarta and some other programs that come on multiple CD's. When installing, I have to put in the first CD, then it asks me to put in the second CD and so on. Is there any way for me to take all the CD's for say Encarta and transfer them to a DVD and have it so that when installing, it knows all the data is on that one DVD (and it won't ask me to insert the second, third, and so on CD)? If so, how do I do this? Thanks for any help with this.

I do realize that everyone is in different time zones. I wasn't expecting a reply very quickly either. I just wanted to bump my thread up back to the first page since it quickly got pushed off. I didn't think anyone would see it if it was pushed off all the way into the back of the forum.
I always make it a point to search before asking and I did that this time too. I'm no message board noob.
Anyway, I know what they're all for now.

I know that. I did search google for each item, but all I get is a jumble of results that don't even have to do with the search term. I've already spent more than a couple of hours on google, searching for this stuff. I've found alot on IIS. I know better to ask without first searching. At least I got decent replies from another forum I asked this at. Thanks for nothing.

- FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions
- Internet Information Services Snap-In
- SMTP Service
- World Wide Web Service

- Active Directory Integration
- Common
- MSMQ HTTP Support
- Triggers
Networking Services
- Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control Client
- Peer-to-Peer
- RIP Listener
- Simple TCP/IP Services
- UPnP User Interface
I have WindowsXP Pro. SP2 with all available Windows Updates downloaded and installed. Thanks for any help.

Anyone ever experience a duplicate tree in the library in Windows Media Player 10?
It only starts happening when I add files to my library. I dunno if it has anything to do with the number of files I add. I have ~500 files in my library. They're .mp3, wave, midi, etc.. Is there a fix for this?

I am currently downloading the "new" release of Windows XP Pro without Windows Media Player from the http://licensing.microsoft.com website.
I was just wondering if someone has tried this one since there is a 20MB difference between the regular version and this one... and I am installing Windows Media Player 10 anyway...
How exactly can I download this "Reduced Media Edition" of WindowsXP Pro. SP2?

When setting up WindowsXP Pro. on a fresh / clean hard drive, there is an option to install WindowsXP on the currently selected hard drive / partition or create new partitions. If I create two partitions then install Windows on the first partition (letting it format to NTFS too), after Windows is all installed and set up, will it automatically assign a drive letter to the other partition I created even though that partition hasn't been formatted with any file system yet?
Is there any way to get the other partition formatted to NTFS too before Windows installs (all just using the WindowsXP CD)?

Thanks Dahi, but it looks like you need to have Windows installed to run BartPE. I need to be able to do this stuff before installing Windows. So is there any utility like FDISK that can recognize and partition a WHOLE 250GB hard drive into one 250GB partition and also that can format it into NTFS?

My favorite / primary boot CD that I use right now for creating partitions and formatting them is the WindowsME OEM boot CD w/ RAMdrive from:
http://bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm
It has fdisk and can format partitions into FAT32. Is there something like this that can recognize a 250GB hard drive and make a single partition of the whole 250GB and that can also format it into NTFS? Thanks for any help.

NV. I found a fast way to do it. Open start menu -> run, then type this in the box:
reg add "HKCR\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\shell\Device Manager\command" /VE /T REG_EXPAND_SZ /D "%SystemRoot%\system32\mmc.exe /s %SystemRoot%\system32\DevMgmt.msc" /F

Can someone please show me how to add "Device Manager" to the menu that pops up when I right click on "My Computer". I saw the stick thread up top, but the directions on how to do it aren't clear. Thanks.

Windows File Protection
in nLite
Posted
This only happens with my nLited Windows XP Pro. w/ SP2 and it seems to only happen when I'm installing new hardware + drivers for the hardware. Is there any way to keep these annoying boxes from popping up? Is there an option in NLite to prevent this?
