OH, I see, thank you for the quick reply. I haven't even gotten around to trying it. Unless the hack was used XP only recognized 3GB of RAM are we sure Chrome 115 will even work on that little resources?

It will work, but you won't be able to have many tabs open concurrently. The 4 tabs I had open were using roughly 2.5 GB of RAM.

Congratulations @sparty411! Maybe... meanwhile XP is simply bored with old stuff like hdd's and standard ssd's? :D

However, the Core Speed of 5,447 GHz seems somewhat exagerated for displaying these two info windows ... but please don't bother, it's the same what cpu-z is showing here on my Z170 installation - allways on Max-Multi. The more relevant info seems to be the actual Watt consumption, (eg. shown in HW-Monitor). Eventually you can post a screenshot of the power consumption too...

The core speed actually fluctuates properly depending on load, believe it or not! I have PBO enabled as well, so I think it tends to boost a bit more aggressively. I had a torrent downloading in the background, so that might explain why it was boosting. But yes, thank you, this thing absolutely rips with XP installed :D

I think the success will depend strongly of the SATA/AHCI (NVME??) driver you've chosen with the patch-integrator! There's a variety of one may select and try out - see Ramsey's description in section  (#) Patch Integrator v3.4.0.

I've tried every driver available, and they all cause a BSOD except for the backported Kai Schtrom backported Windows 8 SATA/AHCI driver (which doesn't allow me to see my SATA SSD).

I just tried MyPal 68.12.5b and also have problem with BSOD in Win32k.sys. It usually happen after visiting some pages with streamed video, just few tabs, can shoot it down within few minutes.

My system: intel core i7-2600K, 8GB DDR3, P67 chipset, nvidia GTX 670, WinXP-32b with POS ready updates 2k9.

I think it's not too old machine to be caused by unsupported SSE instruction. I never seen this crash when using MyPal 29.3 or Chrome 360 Extreme Explorer.

Even I wonder how it's possible to shoot down XP from user space, I would expect such problem in a driver but do MyPal call some drivers directly?

I believe it makes calls to the GPU for webgl

Chrome this one is terribly unstable. Downloading doesn't work, forget about extensions, even the IDM download trick doesn't help. To run it you create a chrome shortcut and add the entry --no-sandbox
--enable-exclusive-audio (together) and it launches. Search on Github.

Right, I just think the fact that one core API is far enough along to allow a late version of Chrome to run at all is an achievement in and of itself. Progress is being made.

I don't see a capcha on 4chan website in New Moon 27.10.0 win32 SSE that I uploaded to be able to answer you - look in uBlock to block the capcha. "nothing happens" - have you blocked the scripts?..
New Moon 27.10.0 it steals the profile from my N.M. 28.10 version - but also it does not want some of my extensions anymore...

I try now captcha 4chan - everything works fine with my NM28 2021-08-13. I have only Ublock Origin and PDF Viewer 2.3.240 as addons.

Maybe you have NoScript or similiar addons? Or you have enabled in Ublock Origin additional filters beyond standard?

Try to disable NoScript if you have one. If you not, try to disable Ublock Origin and see what happen with Captcha then.

No scripts are being blocked. It seems to be an issue exclusive to 27, because 28 works just fine. I prefer to use 27 though, as it is much lighter on system resources.

They don't think too highly of Tobin :--). I had to laugh at some of his posts, he bullies constantly then someone said something nasty back and he acted like an innocent victim. There must be a psychological term for that. Whatever his skills in coding he would drag any organization down as a pr nightmare just as he's doing to pale moon.

Ah, I don't think you appreciate the gravity of the situation. This is like anuddah 9/11, according to Tobin.

Good job and thanks for your nice work! I still have to figure out which version I want to use, but I guess I will go for v9 on older systems (Pentium M, Pentium 4) since it's noticeably faster there and v12 on newer systems (Core2Duo/AMD X2 and later) where there isn't much of a speed difference between the versions and enough RAM available so I have a browser that is more compatible with the modern web. I haven't done much testing with v11 so far though.

I saw someone else mentioned here that this browser doesn't run on CPUs without SSE2 and I know it's not really related to the topic but I always wondered if it's possible to compile modern versions of Chromium (or Firefox too) without the SSE2 requirement so they could run on an Athlon XP or Pentium III. Probably not since otherwise someone likely would have done it already but I'm still curious...

Debian still builds Firefox-ESR without the SSE2 requirement for i686, and I can confirm it works just fine on my Athlon XP 3000+. As for chromium, I have no idea.
